An RPF Open Source 5 ft Millennium Falcon Build/Reference Thread. All Are Welcome

This version is slightly different. The tiny hatch doesn’t have lines and it doesn’t have the box.

hmmm don't think there was a retool of the nichimo centurion. I have the newer one different box. have to check tomorrow how the parts are. i got the kit 2 weeks ago and didn't check it yet.

New parts were added in 1973. Also mine is green plastic. Here’s the small hatch.

So let’s talk mandible pits. 3.5” by 1”…or I guess 1” minus the thickness of the divider piece?

I think I finally got it. 11.75” on the bottom, 11” on top, and 5/8 thick. I still need to redo the top plate. I’ll cut out the hole one I get the top plate on. Criticism is always welcome.

Yep. That's the one ya need. Not the one I have. Th
My guess.. you picked the only one of all releases that you don't need. because I have one off the latest. And the first release was about around the time the falcon was build.. sometimes you win sometimes you lose..

Only Ruler and pencil my friend... hahaha.. we are copying something anyway. Whatever it takes right? And it's only cheating if you tell someone ;)

I'm trying to expand my Photoshop skills and this adds something new. Also, how cool would it be to be able to laser cut all the hull pieces? :)

If you want to go lasercutting.. (or in general) You better learn 'Illustrator' then you are not working with pixels. But vector info.
Just drop your PSD in Illustrator... and workflow for tracing is way better in illustator. And if you would be off in measurements you could easier correct also.

Man you were right. This is my first attempt. Lots more to learn. :)
