American Horror Story

Replica dead baby parts in jars not floating yer boat, Ry?

Lemme know when you make a 1:1 of the young maid. Good grief.

Not so much. Been done to death.

The maid is crazy hot, though. We def. need more of her.

I think a lot of that "been done to death" stuff is intentional. Take the music for instance. So far, I've heard music from "The Planets," (not a horror movie, I know) "Amittyville Horror," "Psycho," and "Bram Stoker's Dracula." It seems to be both an homage to and spoof of the American Horror genre. Similar to "Scream" in that respect, however much more supernatural based. There's also hints of a soap opera in it.

Um, I was making a play on words there, dude.

But, agreed. Numerous nods to the classics.

... but recycled by John Williams, so it actually counts. And man, do you have an ear for music, or what?!

I've really enjoyed the show so far and pretty much have to agree with what every one else here has said!

Very good twisted show. A house that seems to be a magnet for murderers? Two time Oscar winner Jessica Lange spittin' and
murdering? Nova hot red head in garters and a maid's outfit rubbing one out on the job?

What's not to like?

Anyone frustrated with the current pace of "The Walking Dead" should try catching up on this show. It was a little too weird for me in the beginning, and seemed to rely on that. However, it has now drawn me in, and each episode seems to pack more and more in.

I'm bored with TWD too and watch it after Dexter.
I'm also in agreement with the AHS music, as well.
Last night I did hear a Bram Stoker's Dracula track by Wojcoech Kilar (I love that movie!!) when the original homeowner was walking down the hallway to see her monster baby.

I no longer like the maid

You said a mouthful...:lol

what utter garbage this was, i didn't even last the pilot episode. the young maid was easy on the eyes, but the rest of the project was putrid.

As a huge horror fan, i think this series is absolutely fantastic. Its just annoying that you guys in the states get it first, i have to wait til its aired then obtain via alternative means. Will be watching episode 7 tonight so hopefully should be up to date. I must also say though, who the hell is dead and who isnt? I think hayden seems rather chirpy considering her unfortunate circumstances too. I'd be absolutely livid!!! (specfically worded to avoid spoilers :))

EDIT: OK i watched episode 7 now and stressed out!!! They cant end it there!!! WTF!!!

For the most part, I find TV to be all kinds of lame, but I still took the time to Google pictures of the [young] maid... I want one.

who doesnt!!! I was quite shocked by the revelation of rubberman, and slightly disapointed if im honest.

Spoiler alert~~~

Ok so when the this first came out, I saw who the actor was who was in the rubber suit.

Now that Tate is the Rubber man......who was the original actor. I tried googiling it but only Tate actor comes up.

I've been enjoying AHS a lot so far, but worried about its direction. Hopefully we can see where all of this is going...and fast

Don't know if anyone of you guys follow Whitney Matheson on her USAToday Pop Candy blog (a lot of good links to movies, future projects, pop culture for us nerds in general), but she had a great article about her thoughts on "AHS". She articulated my thoughts on it quite well, and her comparison to Heroes was spot on, IMO.

'American Horror Story': We don't need another 'Heroes'
