American Horror Story

A few weeks ago I half jokingly told my wife that the Bloodyface in present time was the son of Lana and Bloodyface, ha, guess I was right on that one.

Did no one watch the finale?

I thought the way the Kit and Jude story wrapped-up was incredible. Poignant, moving, and a perfect way to utilize the supernatural elements that were introduced throughout the season.

I watched it, and surprisingly this season had a great strong ending. This tied up the story very nicely as opposed to last season and the rediculous attempt to just end the program.

I watched the finale, loved it. Just a little confused about the ending, regarding the flashback scene at the end. Not 100% sure what was implied.

I just came to this thread for that exact reason. :lol

What are some theories on the meaning of the very ending?

I feel the same way about the finale. They made it seem like with Grace, Alma, Kit and the kids that there would be something bigger going on with the aliens. Not just abducting Kit at the end. Some good parts in the finale but I just felt like more should happen after all we had seen throughout the season.

I love American Horror Story........Got hooked from the start, though wish that I hadn't skipped to the end of this thread - Now I know how it ends before I have seen it....Oh well.. :-D
I will say that the episode where the possessed nun dies was probably one of the best episodes - I hope that the finale has the same kind of feel.....

My feeling is WTF?!?! You had all this talk about aliens, then nothing more in the story about the aliens.

I think when you use aliens in this manner the question is often more interesting than any answers. Remember X-Files? Great when so much of it was left up to your imagination... not so great when the storyline got bogged down.

I agree with darthgordon. I thought the alien aspect was wrapped up very well. It showed us that the aliens were indeed benevolent, that Kit was special, and so were his offspring. Any more would have seemed like too much. We even got a hint of them in the reflection in Kit's eyes.

Finished season 2 recently. Amazing! I never watched season 1 but I doubt it could be as good as Season 2 and I hope season 3 can be just as good.

Dude, Season 1 was SO much better than Season 2. Season 2 was good, but Season 1 was genuinely FREAKY and very well done.

I'm really looking forward to Season 3. Adding Angela Basset and Kathy Bates will be interesting.

Season 3:

Alright. I like the show but they just go too damned far sometimes. I'm hardly a prude and it's just about impossible to offend me, but it's the gratuitous nonsense that gets me. I know they think their pushing boundaries and being edgy, but it always falls flat and just feels cheap. Ex. Fat girl digs in her grunts and then screws a Minotaur because everyone needs love?! WTF?! :sick

Nothing edgy about it..it was just, gross.

Just doin' my part. :thumbsup

There's also a girl who's vagina kills everyone it touches.

The best part about this show or the series for that matter is, Jessica lange. She's just awesome in every season.

That quote right there is all it took to peak my interest in the show:lol

I just watched the newest episode of Misfits yesterday, and now one of the characters can actually heal/or get rid of someones super power by having sex with them because of his "special penis". It completely reminded me of this show. That minotaur scene and the mom molester scene, were pretty uncomfortable to watch. Also, the opening credits this season are way creepier then the past. Something about those KKK or witches running through the woods is spooky.

Yes, the opening is much scarier. I hope they can implement those pointy hoods and that horse demon. I know most of the time we see the cool intro and it's mostly just filler.

Just watched Season 2 on Netflix. Check it out here:

What an uninspired bunch of crap. As I mentioned above (post #76), I was pleasantly surprised by Season 1 (outside of the very last episode) and felt like we were presented with some genuinely creepy Stephen King style horror and strangeness. Season 2? Train Wreck! There were so many elements that could have made for a truly amazing story but none of them ever went anywhere and NONE of the characters were likable or ever came close to fullfilling their potential as interesting characters. Lana was utterly horrible from the first minute to the last and the ending was so "blah" I felt like the writers just gave up. I did think that Kit's end held a bit of Stephen Kingish charm, but as much as I wanted to like his "rescue" of Jessica Lange, it just fell flat and seemed pointless to me. The last several episodes seemed more interested in showing 60's/70's clothing styles than anything else.

I hate sounding like the grumpy old man, but there were just ENDLESS possibilities for cool and creepy here, but instead, the story just got lost, very early on, and meandered pointless for 8 shows and then tried to wrap up on some sort of cliffhanger than only served to prove what an utterly unlikable and worthless character Lana was.

Is it just me, or does Season 3: Coven, feel like a pile of just plain weirdness with no strong story line/steady continuity? ..With a bunch of bizarre and lame twists thrown in. I mean, It feels like a whole different story each time the show airs. I loved season one (have yet to watch season two) but man... I'm l just left confused on season three. Perhaps I am missing something, though.

Ive watched it since it aired, a love the show. Season one, was bloody marvellous, so creepy, season two, meh, it did get lost, but still enjoyed, Jessica Lange singing the name game.....it can't get any better LOL.
Season three, hmm, its slow to boil thats for sure, still tuning in with enthusiasm, but yeah, where is it going.....again, Lange is superb, and Burke, top lass!
