Is there anything I can do that would solve that problem? I see what you mean. Because even if I put a zipper along the back it wouldn't be stretched, it would be loose.
How could I make it like they had it? Did you see the pics of them with it folded, hanging down from the front? I know there's an answer to the problem and I feel like I know it but I can't get it. It's like when a word is right there but you can't think of it

If I'm not mistaken, most of these suits are made with a zipper from each armpit to the waist then meeting in the middle of the waist at the back. That ( from what I have heard) is the easiest way to have the suit be put on and off. So what I think you're reffering to is when the suit's top half is folded over the front that way without taking the bottom half off. Does that make sense?

I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how I can incorporate a separated mask that doesn't shift around when I'm wearing it. I think a zipper around the neck would be too cumbersome, and Velcro is basically out of the picture.
Right now my two big ideas on the drawing board are:
-Very thin magnets hemmed (or glued) into the mask and, respectively, the neck.
-Making the suit with an attached mask, and somehow figuring a way to tuck the mask into the suit, maybe along my shoulder or down my back.
Has any body else given this subject any thought?

I wanted the removable mask as well.
The only good way to do this is have a separate vertical zipper going down the
back of your neck to the top of your shoulders. So you unzip, pull it forward over her head and have to dangling removed over your chest still barely attached to the costume.
So basically youll be talking to people the mask off while its still attached but hanging in front of you. Ive seen others do this but couldnt find a pic sorry.
Searched everywhere on google. Readers on here have done this.
Magnets and velcro will make you look like a fat kid fitting into a tutu and there will be visible skin.

Have Taylor's suit all sewn up, but I can't get the eyes to work! I bought Mclean's undershell with magnet lenses, but they wont attach because the fabric is in the way. I don't wanna cut too much material from the mask, but I need to get the lenses on. How wide should the eye holes on the mask be? Right now they are just little circles, but like I said, the lenses won't attach to the undershell. Can anyone who has done this before let me know the best way to have the eyes attach magnetically?

@ParmaSpidey Can you post some pics of the suit sewn? I'm dying to see it. And to your problem I would try contacting someone like The Nick Fox, El Fett, MCL3AN, Redtogusa, wallcrawler, etc. They all really seem to know what they are talking about and are all pretty helpful.

Actually the suits from the first trilogy were sewn with only one zipper that started from the right armpit going down the side, then cutting across the lower back under the red belt section and then going back up the other side to the left armpit. So it was like a U shape. You could do the same thing with the new design, but I would recommend going across the lower back at the top of the red belt section, there is no reason to cut under it and it wouldn't look as good because the new suit doesn't have the raise urethane webs and the zipper seem would be more noticeable if you had it go through the red section.
The zipper is very tiny itself and is called an invisible zipper and it gets sewn in a way so that when it is zipped up, it just looks like a fabric stitch seem. You wouldn't want to use two zippers meeting in the middle, cause then you can see the zippers and the hole in the fabric where they meet. I've seen that allot and it's an eyesore. You could also go an extra step further to hide the zipper. It is very tiny, but you can still see it hanging in your armpit if your arm is away from your body. So I recommend cutting off the finger grip piece used to pull the zipper and have someone use a paperclip inserted into the loop to zip and unzip it for you and then remove it. This way the only thing left of the zipper is the piece that pulls the two sides of teeth together. So now there will be nothing hanging in the armpit and people will have no clue how the hell you put it on.

To do a full "U" you would need approximately a 44" long invisible zipper.

Yeah I just picked up a 22 inch zipper from Walmart earlier today so does that mean I should get another one or just make this work by doing pretty much a horizontal line?
