Amazing Spiderman Putting together your Suit

I'm nearly done with something for people on my runs. (It's like a 35 page PDF and may be longer than that when done)

I may make something a lot shorter and more visual for the forum in general at some point when I have more time. The difficulty is in designing it to work with all of our patterns and the different prints that are on them. There are no universal registration keys.

...honestly I just hate to see people hung up on tiny pieces of this costume. No one should be prevented from being Spidey just because they don't know where to sew a piece. So if there are any other individual sections, I will do my best to diagram them as my schedule allows.

Nick, I sent you a PM inquiring about a seamstress to sew a Spider-Man (Amazing) print for me. Please reply when you get a chance!

This should clear things up...I hope. I had to flip the palm piece since you included the left palm for the right arm.

Let me know if you have any questions.

What type of stitch do you use when you sew the fingers? do you use a straight stitch or a zig zag stitch? I feel it would be hard to do the zig zag since there is no allowance around the fingers. What do you think?

Hi anyone has any link on ebay for the applicator tip for tulip slick 4oz bottles? Im sourcing around , PM me thanks !

.....wow, I totally posted what you need on mercy's thread right before you got banned. I can't figure out if your more lazy then ignorant or if it's the other way around.:behave

So I just ordered a file of Taylor's print. So I'm very excited to get this started. This will be my first time ever making a costume.

But I got a couple questions,

1) I'm beginning to make the lenses. How do I know how big the lenses should be? I don't have a print yet, and wanna get started soon. Also what are the lenses shape made of? Like what materials have you guys found to be easiest/best?

2) I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Does anybody have any seamstresses they recommend for sewing this sexy suit together? If nowhere in Arizona, anywhere in the nation? Would rather send my suit somewhere who has experience sewing suits like this, then places where they mainly hem jeans, and alter jackets lol.

Thanks guys ;)

Just finished my kicks.
Got some final touch up work to do.
Reds a little bright but I still haven't seen my print so well see.

I would like to know if you would recommend getting 1 to 1/2 size down from your normal shoe size to fit the sole :)

And my other question to anyone would be do you prefer "slick" or "puffy" black Tulip paint for the web design? I feel like puffy is more accurate but also easier to damage from its thickness

Puffy gets bubbly when heat is applied, it "puffs" up sorta speak. The paint you would need is slick, as slick gives a shine to the paint and it doesn't puff

Shaping some paper to start my spidey lenses. What you guys think of this shape? Any feedback would be great
It's pretty close, not 100% but I think the top part is good just the bottom curve needs to be worked a little and you should be good. :) Sorry didn't see you posted before

I bought my regular shoe size (9.5) and after removing all the padding, it was too big. I was able to fit my thumb behind my heel with my toes to the front of the shoe. I ended up selling them and buying 1 size smaller (8.5). They get here on Friday. I'll let you know how it works out.
