Amazing Spiderman Putting together your Suit

Get a second one and have them run from the armpit to the middle of the belt in the back where they meet. This is how I sewed up one of my Spiderman 2 costumes and it worked really well.

Alright here's the deal you guys. I want a ASM print but Taylor doesn't think he's going to do another Run and I don't blame the guy. But His was top notch quality. I want to know who's selling a print with great quality for a good price, not $300

well you could buy sonjou's pattern and get it printed yourself, or buy DamnGoodPaul's print, which he prints on to under armor material, just give it a quick search in the junkyard, u'll find them there

So long as you or your seamstress are comfortable cutting zippers to length, that should work. I would recommend Navy over Black, though.

would it be possible to put a zip in the back of the head of a spidey suit from the back of the neck to the top of the head ??

Yes, this is called a drop-down mask, and it allows you to keep the one-piece look and take breaks to reveal your face. My spidey suits have this. It's very convenient.

Anyone have pictures of Taylors suit being sewn? I've seen some but forgot where

Also and more importantly, How noticeable is a zipper on from the waist to underarm and is it possible to make it almost invisible?

I have a Spidey4fun suit with invisible zipper from arm pit down lower back to other arm pit, you can't even see it, actuially many people wonder how the hell did I put the suit on they can't notice the zipper.

How do you think "invisible zippers" got their name? ;)

Hmmmmmmm....I see hahahah:lol I mean like on Fetts you can see where the zipper is, on the actual suit you see a very small thin line. I want that. I've come to your side of the armpit zip

I have a question regarding the gloves. I have a Damngoodpaul print, but the glove portion of the print does not have an outline on where I should be cutting. I guess my question is, how do I insure that I'm cutting it right? Do I simply place my hand on there and trace around my fingers?

I wish I could answer that. I ordered one as well.
Can you please post pics of your print?

I don't have pictures at the moment, but they look like the one's posted by Paul in his thread.

As you can see, there isn't any guide marks for cutting. I just want to make sure I'm cutting it correctly so I don't ruin the suit.
Maybe Damngoodpaul can answer it. You sewing it yourself?! Your brave

Nick,
I noticed that your Raimi Spidey print has a similar shape as Taylor's print. Do you happen to have a pattern or layout of the suit and what connects to what?

I actually have another question. For the Shoe's, is it possible to just stitch the print onto a shoe and not cut it up and destroy it? I mean obviously I'd have to take things out but do I really have to cut it up?

Can anybody PLEASE tell me where to get ASM patterns printed in the UK? Average cost, and how to send the huge 450mb file to the printers? Ive searched thread after thread now and really cant understand why this question hasnt been answered by anyone... Somebody must know the answer.

personally I've never had to deal with the UK with printing, but all you ahve to do is search for someone local or close to you that is capable of Dye Sublimation printing... I did a quick google and there are loads of vendors in the UK, but unless someone has dealt directly, it might be a bit of a trial and error... plus you have to ask if they can dye sub on lycra, or under armour material, cost depends on the vendor alot of times, but expect it to be between 160-250.

Usually the printer will have an FTP delivery system in place for larger files, or you can use multiple ways to send it, either dropbox, or yousendit.com this is one of the challenges of printing your own.

ask them if they can print a sample of the colors first, to make sure you aren't disappointed by the print.
