(Almost) scratchbuilt pipe E11

Hi there. Blaster looks great.

This may sound like an obvious question but can I ask where you purchased your pipe from as I'm looking in the UK DIY stores and 40mm pipe is coming up a little too small for the templates.

Thanks.

You´ll need 38 mm O.D. with a wall thickness of 1,5 mm.
So depending on the level of accuracy you want to archieve, 40 mm O.D. would be "o.k." (and too BIG instead of too small :p)

Sorry for the late reply Galaia2004 - yup, Obiwan72 nailed it.

Djkibaman - thanks! The blaster takes pride of place in my front room, but I plan to make a perspex wall-bracket for it soon.

Hi Skiffy
Superb Blaster Buddy.
And a great tip for the T-track using the E-track window runner from B&Q
and also for the End cap release housing:thumbsup
BTW...How is the end cap made,I can see its wood and that you have scratch built the fins for the folding stock locking lugs .
Would you be so kind as to show/explain how you did it as I have been pondering how to do this on mine.
Would really appreciate it.
Again great Blaster and excellent step-by-step build blog.
Regards
Keith;)

Sorry for dragging up such an old thread - but I changed my web hosting recently and only now started to propagate these pics back to where they were. I wanted to check that they were working.

Keefyboy - if you're still out there (and so sorry for the very late reply - 14 months!) I hand carved the end cap - spinning it in a hand drill while holding a chisel against it and sculpted/added the fins later with milliput.

Once upon a time, I had the templates for doing one of these but they're long since lost.
Also, I can't get the blaster builders site to load... does anyone know where I can find the templates?

(edit:)Well, I found the templates... finally managed to get the site to load around the work-filters. lol I guess that was my problem.
BTW, this blaster looks amazing.
I hope mine turns out at least half as good.
