Hello ladies and gentlemen!
I hope you are all doing great!

I'm looking for the screen accurate paint to do the silver/gunmetal markings on my tie helmet.
I read a lot about tamiya x 11 and humbrol 5 I believe.
Maybe in the meantime there is a more researched color?

Any help would highly appreciated!

Take care,
Tristan

Hey brothers ! Thanks for the quick response! Yeah exactly, I mean that silver trident and teeth. Sorry, sometimes it's hard for me to find the right words in English:-D

There are others that probably have more definitive info, but I always assumed it was the same gunmetal color that was used on Vader’s helmet

I’ve looked into this a tiny bit (I’m more of a fan of the all black helmet).

The Tamyia X10 is the closest and best I’ve used out of the bottle.

The Humbrol sucks ..too light, too matte and hard to work with...avoid at all costs.

For the one hero replica I’ve done I mixed my own paint to get as close as I could.

As for what was used on the screen used I’ve not really gone down that rabbit hole as I’m not a huge fan of the hero helmets, but I probably should.

From what I can tell the silver used on the silver trident hero and the teardrop hero are different colors.

If you’re looking for Tie info I do have a FB group dedicated to Research and info on them:

Awesome! Thank you sir. That's what I was hoping for!
I instantly joined that fb page.
Do you remember what colors that was ?
My plan is to do that exact hero you did. Your color look spot on!

Funny thing :
I replied a old thread from you about the chest box just minutes ago
