Watching the gameplay it looks like l4d - zombies - earth + space + lots of aliens

Overall I really enjoyed it. Anyone with specific questions about how it played etc Ill be able to give my opinion.
No idea I know they said they were 'exploring alternative control methods' last february but not heard anything about it since. When I played it was the PC version with Xbox controllers connected. I've got a PS3 myself but still managed to get on with the Xbox controller alright. (I was the highest scoring player in the second game so it cant of made that much difference)Do you know if it will be PS3 Move supported?
thumbsup:thumbsup Hope Yes and If so, then I will make a M41 shroud for the Move.
That's my concern, too. The more I see of it, the more it seems just a ho-hum shooter that happens to take place on LV-426. Which means I'll probably wait for the eventual $5 sale on Steam. My problem with this game is it is going to be yet ANOTHER C.O.D. or name your Military based FPS style.

My god. The female gender does exist in this game. Maybe in their next video we might get to see them in the actual game! I bet they feel so vindicated right now.
even if the first trailer didn't show them, they could have been mistaken for men (and yes, that was a reference to not only Vasquez, but to Dietrich and Ferro).
Um... does that really matter?
Being a person who isn't deaf, I can assure you that even if Dietrich was wearing the same marine armor as all the guys, I was still able to figure out she was female due to her voice. If you check teaser #1 and #2, the trailers, game play trailers and all other behind the scenes footage, there isn't a single on-screen female character in any of them. The ONLY indication of a female character we've seen officially thus far has been from the cover art and those two character sketches. That's it.
Also, if you check the multiplayer you will find that you can't play as a female marine. If you look at the exclusive content you get from pre-ordering it from stores that include movie characters, there are no female characters in the lot. No Ripley and no Vasquez. While Hicks and Hudson are great, the remainder is pretty lackluster. Drake and Apone? While I thought Drake was ok, he didn't hold a candle to the presence of Vasquez.
YES!
If you look at the first person shooter genre, you will note that the female gender is almost like a non-existent entity. All those war games and space shooters not only had you playing as a guy the whole time, but also had next to zero female characters period. The only first person shooter series that I can think of that featured a lot of females was Duke Nukem..... Who's last game, which was finally finished by Gear Box, showcased how misogynistic game developers can be to the point where even Duke Nukem fans saw that as going too far.
And guess who's working on this game? Gear Box. And guess what we haven't seen yet? A simple female character.
Want a bonus?
I talked to one of the guys at the booth and he tells me that there will be a female character in the game, and it's going to be a scientist who serves as the main character's love interest.
Ha....ha.....ha......
You're never gonna see a woman humping around in a war game with an infantry squad or a special ops group so get used to it dude.

There aren't many out there but there are a few women in combat games. Look at Anya in Gears of War or chick characters in Dead Island.
Minor point here, but in the cross-platform Aliens vs. Predator released a year or two ago, Cpl. Teresa "Tequila" Aquila -- the one who guides you through much of the Colonial Marine campaign -- is female.
