Aliens: Colonial Marines

Still waiting for the ladies to have a spotlight in these trailers/spots/featurettes. Also, I encountered an Alien at NYCC and the Javits Center was kind enough to lend me their power loader to stop it.

However, I'm going to file a complaint in regards to the additional metal plates that were added onto the loader for the Alien to easily grip onto. We should not be giving those darn xenos an advantage!

Do not get me wrong I am a huge Aliens fanatic, and am very much looking forward to this game and mode. From the looks of that mode though it is a mix of LFD 1 or 2 Survivor(the massive spawns of aliens players will control) and campaign mode(getting from 1 place that is safe to re arm/heal up etc) to the next. I am sure this will be a bit more randomized then the story mode of the game of going from Starting Escape point A to Escape Point B. However that is just my 2 cents.

Honestly, I'd be DELIGHTED to play an L4D/L4D2 style game in an Aliens setting. Even if we're just going from place to place the way you did in L4D1 and 2.

Same here man, I have always loved every Aliens game I played. I even really enjoyed campaign mode of LFD1 and 2. I was just stating how similar "Escape mode looked to VS and survivor mode in LF1 and LFD2.

I'm actually surprised! The trailer looked amazing, I loved the three options for the Xeno's. The Spitter was meh, but the Warrior and Stalker! Good googly-moogly!

Aliens?: Colonial Marines

02/12/2013 is getting closer and closer and it looks like this vaporware will finally get its day. I only hope that the PC version doesn't have a bunch of launch day glitches like the last AVP game.

AND it sucks that you either have to buy the game for Xbox 360 or PS3 to get the Collectors Edition. That grinds my gears.

I'll be picking it up for PC in any event, but "when" will depend on how good the game ends up being and how good of a PC port it is. If it's just a half-ass port (like most developers these days do), then I'll probably wait a while.

The guys who did the new Xcom did a reverse, to get the really cool special edition you have to buy it for the PC or pay 30.00 on ebay for the extras.

Xcom's always been PC-centric, that's not really surprising.

I fail to see the logic in not making it available across the board, though. In the case of ACM, why wouldn't the PC be able to get the collector's edition? I understand that console versions sell more, but that's no excuse to completely deny the PC gamer base. If you expect to sell less on PC, then just make fewer collector's editions for PC. Simple solution, happens to work.
