Things I really like:
1. Miniature engine stand construction. Nicely done & practical even for small models.
2. Recessed channels along ship skin for external equipment.
3. Hidden space guns, much like German merchant ship raiders of WW-1 and 2.
4. Exhaust vent light patterns.
May be a simple design, but your well executed style is on display.

I like that idea too. That was kind of my thought with its recessed location!

It seems, at first glance, that this ship is bulky and slow and would be easy to take down...but then you look at the engines and the big guns on either side and a thought comes to mind: "This looks like a trap"

The bottom has extra plating to help protect its delicate underbelly too

We're back from our week away. We went to Sequioa National Park. It was beautiful, but hot! I got most of the physical build of this beast complete. If I'm lucky, I'll get a coat of primer on the main build tonight. I did decide to rebuild the landing pad area as the original I had built was not very square. I definitely learned a lesson to make sure to try and keep things as square as possible from the beginning. It'll definitely save me some headache down the road. Hopefully the next picture I post will be the one with primer !

I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel for this guy!! I got the actual base color put on it. On most of the panels, I air brushed a much darker green in the center of them then put the lighter color over it all. I think it added a nice depth. Once weathering and washes are added, I'm hoping it'll look well lived in!!
