Let just say seeing this at DCon on our Alienslegacy table the hotel staff is pissed they might have the drool cleaned up by next DCon. :lol

They are hollow on Ripley's helmet but solid on the other EVA suits.
Could these be Viscount lights or similar make?
Don't know measurements of Viscount, but they do look similar.

(Also looks as if Ripley lost a wire nut getting dressed in that closet)

Not sure about the vents but Kit Freeborns told me they used a lot plastic balls and industrial type model parts. In a few scenes her white helmet has knurled knobs on them.

Here is the latest. I have the outside of the helmet complted.
I added the black trim around the face plate. Added some minor details.
Boxes around the back lower lights.

I completed the neck ring and added the padding. There will be snaps on the neck ring but I am going to have to pull it back appart to mold the final part.
A lot of these details I added will come back off for molding and will be add-ons to keep thier crisp details.

The final helmets will have the vents opened up. If anyone would want to costume in this they would have to be. The additional comentary on the Alien DVD talkes about how the actors were passing out since it was so hot and they weren't getting enought O2.

Now we can't have that now can we...
