Alien Anthology Blu-ray features list

Commentary/BTS type stuff is practically the only reason I buy a good amount of the DVDs I buy. A bad commentary track (like Snatch where it's basically an extended interview with Guy Richie without anything worthwhile in it) actually puts me in a bit of a bad mood for a few minutes. There's at least one person who still cares about commentary tracks these days!

OK OK I got one......

What is Carrie Henn's LEAST favorite line in Aliens and why?

Since that one's a stupid ripoff of Jeyl's question I'll go with a bonus question too:

Who originally played Hicks before Michael Biehn was cast and in which shot does he or she appear in the movie?

Would it be fair if I answer, because this is fish in a barrel. And by all means, ask anything as long as we can find it.

My sights have it's target! GIVE ME THE COMMAND!

Darn. I can't remember his name but he played Rayden in MK: Annihilation a bad guy in The Phantom. I could be wrong, but I think you see him from behind during one of the scenes where the marines are walking down a corridor in Hadley's Hope.

James Remar. Ding Ding Ding!!! I was looking for a little more detail on exactly which shot but it's pretty obvious you're talking about the right one. Can anybody tell me what's strange about that shot, or specifically the set in that shot, that made it so they had to keep Remar in it rather than re-filming?

Close enough. The foreground of the shot (all the alien nest stuff on the ceiling) was miniature rather than the miniatures being at the far back of the shot and the miniature they used had already been destroyed by the production, not so much unintentionally damaged.

Four more hours to answer the question before my day limit is out, or else I'll answer it and give the next question! If you haven't listened to the commentary track yet, now will be a good time. Seriously, it's a great listen!

My next question however will really separate the boys from the men. This is one that should not have happened.

"They mostly come out at night. Mostly."
She hates it because in school she was teased about it.

Dammit, now I've participated in the thread drift. Hypocrite. :lol

It's a drift I created just to keep it fresh and fun! And it does have something to do with the Anthology set since these questions delve on the behind the scenes info that, if you don't have the original Quadrilogy release, will be able to find.

Now, you want to shoot a question or should I, because I honestly don't think anyone will get the one I'm about to ask.

Alright.

As many who own the set already know, many alterations we made for the Director's Cut of ALIEN in more ways than just reintegrating footage back into the film. A majority of these changes were so minute that some actually slipped pass the encoder's radar and ended up on the Theatrical Edition on both the Quadrilogy set the separate 2-Disc DVD set.

Q: What two Director's Cut alterations escaped into the Theatrical Cut?

HINT: It does not have anything to do with restoring the picture or sound quality. These are direct changes that were not present on any previous format release. One involves sight, the other involves sound.

Ding ding ding! I don't have any cool Alien images at the moment but I am working on an ALIENS drawing I can put up once it's done. It's got a little ways to go and I have another project going on that has a closer deadline so the poster may have to wait a little while but I'll definitely make sure to put it in here.

Bingo on the stars one, but the alien transmission I can't give since that was not a part of the theatrical version, just the Director's Cut. There is something else in the movie where they did change a sound effect for the director's cut that was something else in all previous editions of the film.

OK I got one that'll be good for a prop board:

How was the effect of dried skin on the Derelict pilot in ALIEN achieved?

I think I remember reading this one a long time ago. I thought it was liquid latex of something like that.
