Alien 3 prop ID help

Hi guys, long time lurker here! I'm putting together an Alien 3 collection, and have been trying to ID the shielded gas flare/torches used by several characters in the movie. The best reference pic I've found so far seems to be of the accessory that came with the NECA Ripley figure. Does anyone know if this was based on a real life piece, or custom made for the film?

Hello! Honestly, I think the metal flares are something fabricated for the film, unfortunately. I too would love to acquire or make some eventually. They seem straightforward enough to be custom welded I think? Might have some sort of police baton base?

Regardless, if you are collecting a grouping of ALIEN 3 props... I thought I'd also mention the flashlights they used were the Streamlight SL-20x. There are several variants of the original (and quite rare) police flashlight SL-20, but these were some ground-breaking rechargeable flashlights for the 1980s, and have since had several variants. SL-35, SL-20X, SL-20L, SL-20XP, but it looks like the version in ALIEN 3 is the SL-20X, a fairly modern and easily accessible version of the flashlight. You can find them on ebay, and they are still sold to this day it seems. I know it's not exactly on topic of the post but I saw the innaccurate NECA accessory and thought I should at least mention it.
