Well guys I have some news. The machine shop have decided, now, to kick up a fuss about the steel hob being too difficult to machine and want to do a higher quantity.

I have a quote from another machine shop and they have no problem with any of it and are ready to go. Downside is they are more expensive and the current numbers mean I would be making these at a loss.

I see two realistic options, one is to set the final pre-order price at $225 and I can give the factory the go ahead and get things moving on manufacturing. This would be $25 over my original price estimate. Not much but I understand it could be frustrating for some of you.
The second option is to continue to wait on pre-order sign ups and see how things go. Obviously this would mean the timeline for getting these into your hands shifts by an unknown amount.

I'll be sending this info out as an email to those who have paid deposits so I can get your thoughts on our options

I certainly don’t want you to take a loss. And the fact that the other vendor has an unknown ETA.
