AAV Drop Ship

I love the look of the window frames, especially the riveting around them. Plus all those small bits of details on the top really add a lot

And that lovely garden looks like it is about to pop with blossoms. Should be a very nice spring!

Just amazing, my friend. Beautiful.

Thank you!

Thank you again, my friends.
Today our family members are reunited and celebrated our twin daughter's birthday.
My daughters are 30. o_O

They are so healthy and doing very well anyway.
I'm happy with that.

A Happy Birthday wish to your daughters Katsu-san! This is a special month for such celebrations. Just celebrated my oldest daughters 30th earlier this month.

Wow, happy birthday to your daughter, too. Thank you!

The driver's compartment has almost done.
I've just made an overhead console panel with an emergency release handle (T-handle).
When the dropship has been shot and about to crash on the ground, pull the lever release the vehicle, and pray GOD. It may need four parachutes or Jet Assist Landing System.

Looks those consoles have a light leaking issue. LED is too bright?
And the coil wire is a bit too thick.

Thanks for watching!

The little details around the window frames are really cool looking. That is still a very cool looking drivers compartment even with the too bright LED's. I trust in your magic to dim it down to just the right levels that will make this perfect.

The idea of retro rockets to cushion the landing from an early ejection from the drop ship is a very cool idea. At least enough to slow a couple hundred foot vertical drop and avoid a splat landing. Once on the ground they could double as assist jets for crossing large trenches or dropping down short cliffs to get to the intended deployment zone. Adds a whole new level to the story that is building with this!

I love how everything has a clear purpose rather than just randomly added to make it look good. When you look at the details you know why a piece is there

as far as the LEDs, I often use metal foil tape on the interior for light blocking. In this case since it is backlit consoles that approach might not work

You could try a layer of silver paint over black paint and scribe back over it if dimming them down does not work

The other option is maybe a sheet of paper or two to help diffuse it more, or even just place the LED behind a narrower opening to stop down the light

Hmmm, are you suggesting I share the story in my head? That would be fun! :p
What's the word limit on a post here?

P, p, p, PM me if you got a masterpiece.

Thanks, and in accordance with your tips, I painted silver on them. Looks OK to me.

Awesome modelling as always, Katsu-san.
The attention to detail is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Continue to build.

Fixed the leaking issue.

The turret is M-4 Sharman's. I've just put it on to see how it look.

Thanks to your kind support, the hard part is almost over and I will enjoy the decorations and detailing work.

Thank you,

katsu

Coming along real nice.
Are you close to finished?
Thats always that bittersweet feeling when done. Glad you finished.....but.....at the same time, it can be fun to work on...sometimes.
Other times, I'm just SO ready to get the project finished.
