AAV Drop Ship

Thanks for the comment, George-san, Kris-san.
I will draw some detailed plans and prepare materials.
Still, I have a long way ahead. :)

Really cool clay work Katsu-san.... only time I ever tried using it ( actually it was ‘ Das ‘ so maybe doesn’t count ! ) was to build an Alien inspired figure over a coat hanger skeleton & actual nails for teeth a long, long time ago.... it didn’t turn out too badly:lol:

Reminiscing aside , some terrible news concerning the severe floods you’re currently experiencing over there.... I hope your family and loved ones are safe my friend .

Ged

Your clay model looks really good! That will be a challenging model project all by itself. Was it the Planet Explorer that you made custom wheels for? That method worked very well in my opinion.
Looks like your family is doing well. That's the best news of all.

Thanks, Ged-san.
So, you too enjoyed clay work.
The rain is getting heavy here too. Our house is on a hill. So, rain is not gonna be a matter. But today, we are having some tornado around the suburban area. Some of the houses lose roofs. That's what we are afraid of. The flooding is happening at mid to western end of our islands. Here's today's funny news. A decade ago, the mayor of those places refused to build the dam to conserving the local nature although the national project was half over. So his prefecture loses more than 50 people living there yesterday. Last night, the mayor (He is still at the post) got interviewed by the press and said, 'I decided it in accordance with the public opinion then.'
So he was a good representation of the citizens.
I think it was a good barter for the citizen there. Not bad.

Thank you, Ken-san.
We are alright and doing fine every day.

Oh, you remember that vehicle.
I will use that method for the vehicle with tracks. The new method I am thinking of is the rubber tires of a wheeled vehicle.
I hope it works.

Please be safe, Katsu-san, as well as your loved ones.
I hope the governments will act in the interest of the locals

That clay worked perfectly.

It is very useful to have a small 3D model of your build and it help when building the larger one later

I love the design.

Katsu-san,the appearance of Silver Surfer intrigues me.He is Galactus' herald, a Cosmic Traveler if you will.
I love the sight of (Deep) Space and wouldn't mind traveling through it like he does:cool:
The only difference would be that I wouldn't want to explore space to find beauty, and then in order for my boss (if he were Galactus) to destroy or conquer it
That, and Silver is my favorite metal.

I hope all is well for you and your family, Katsu-san.The news about the floods worry me

You’re a Marvel-lite , and true believer my friend !... Excelsior ! :D

Thank you so much, George-san, joberg-san! Ged-san, I second!
To my regret, The Silver Surfer has not that popular hero in Japan so far.
Now I'm working on an actual-sized mockup of the APC with cardboard.
And later, this cardboard model will be a good pattern to cut up sheet metal.

Last Saturday, we three went to Narita city to have dinner.
My daughter #2 Yuki contracted with sony about the support and back up program for her activity and business.
So, she took us to dinner at an Italian restaurant on her treat.
It was a little celebration.
And we found a very attractive bar name 'Jetlag Club' nearby the restaurant.
The bartender was an American dude and half of the customers in the bar were foreigners.
We sat at the bar counter and have some drinks. The guy next to me Peter-san was a pilot of the national guard.
Now he is working for the Atlas in Elmendorf Air Force base in Alaska and flys the Kingjet C-12 for VIP and B-747-400 and 747-8 freighter. He was flying the AH-64 Apache in Afganistan in 2008.
He showed me a picture of him with AH-64.
I said 'Is it AH-64A? There's no radar dome above the rotor.'
He said it's AH-64D. They usually take out the radar dome because it's heavy and spoils the ship's maneuverability.
He said that the Longbow radar was not necessary for the battle with those insurgents. TADS is good enough for that.
He asked me 'Are you a pilot?'
I said 'I have been flying as a PC sim pilot for 30 years.' XD
He said, As an instructor's opinion, PC pilot always turns to be a good pilot for the real aircraft!
We had a very happy time talking to each other.

The man behind me is Peter-san.

Nothing but good news there, Katsu-san :D
Congratulations on the success of your daughter! And what a way to celebrate; thanks for sharing the pictures!
Did you tell Peter about your dropship project;)? (Shameless PR for the RPF:p)
Keep it up with the good news, Katsu-san! Best regards to your family

Congratulations to Yuki

Looks like it was a fun evening

That is an interesting tidbit regarding the AH-64 A vs D

Katsu-San, congratulations to your daughter, I am thankful that your wife is feeling better. I am glad you had such a happy day.

Thank you so much, Thaddeus-san.
Take care, please.

Thank you always, George-san. I hope her ability can take off.
Ahh, I forgot to tell him about my project! I might have been able to hear some interesting opinions.
George-san, you are one of the most heartful people I have ever make friends with.

Congratulations to Yuki

Thank you, Analyzer-san. I always love that gunship. That was a piece of very impressive information.

Yesterday, I talked with my ex-colleague in JAL over the phone.
They are still having a very very hard time. 70-80 percent of the flights have been suspended its operation and planes are grounded at the airport parking space and billed a parking fee every day. They have to reduce the manning and have to take care of many kinds of jobs with a handful of staff. He said it's better than losing a job.
There are so many people having a hard time around the whole world. I really hope this disaster would over soon.

The new method I am thinking of is the rubber tires of a wheeled vehicle.

Did a quick search of current airless tire technology and found a few examples, if it helps. If not, at least the pictures are interesting :D

Edit: Just occurred to me that this is a terrestrial ship and not space related, so feel free to disregard.
