i bought a aa phaser and i cant get the front emmitter to work on the p2. I know the metal pegs are making contact, but it wont let the p2 emmitter light up. its still activated by the p2 trigger, and the p1 lights come on. suggestions?

Turn the little silver knob on the left side down by the front if you already haven't tried it. That turns the emitter LED on and off.

thanks for the tip i didnt know that but it didnt help :(

No lights sounds like there may be a 'try me' mode still on - either a plastic tab or a switch inside the battery compartment that's in a 'battery saver' mode. A lot of toys with a 'try me' feature will have something like that so that the batteries don't get run out by people playing with the toy in the store. Check the battery compartment and under the P1, I don't recall vividly where it is on the TOS phaser.

I was hoping that was all that was wrong. I hope the LED isn't burned out. Maybe it has a bad contact in that switch, or one of the spring metal contacts isn't working well. Did you order it or buy it at a local store? I'd just get another one if you can. Good luck.

I ordered it from a friend and knew it had sound and light problems when i bought it. thats why i only paid 15 for it. i replaced the batteries, and boom, i had lights and sounds.
the only thing not working is the p2 nozzle.

No help there either, thanks for the tip though, i didnt know that tidbit either.
Heres the thing, if the emmitter was burnt out on the p2, then why would the p1 light still be on ( I can see through the sides)

Im starting to think its something to do with the contacts.

They both will light up at the same time when connected. I just double checked on mine, and can see the P1 light on it firing along with the P2 emitter.

Have you tried a good ol' smack of the phaser against your hand a few times? Maybe something isn't making good contact or is jarred loose.

lol i tried that scientific approach too and no luck ;)

is the nozzle on the emitter supposssed to turn all the way around if its to adjust brightness? my spins and spins.

Yeah, it spins all the way around, going from bright to dim and back again.

I think it was a 5mm LED that ran on 3VDC that I used in mine when I changed it from red to a blue LED. Went with a superbright. So now I have the red LED for the p1 and blue for the p2.
