Here are the weapons that me and my buddy will be packing for our Vietnam zombie costumes at DragonCon next week. For anyone that has followed the build threads, then you know that most of these props double as beverage holders. Each smoke grenade holds a beer, the M72 LAW holds 4 cans, the 'baseball' grenades each hold 4 oz, the 40mm grenades hold 2 oz and the M3 Grease gun holds approx. 12 oz. So this should allow us to avoid the long elevator lines in the Hyatt for awhile! If out see us out, come up and have a drink with us.

Decided to test the full costume last night to try and determine any problems that may come up. Its gonna be pretty damn hot to wear. Hope they have the AC cranked up. I tossed on the unfinished facial appliance and photoshopped in detail to get a feel for how it might look.

Hey man, don't worry about the not so accurate part, like you said only vets are gonna notice and I don't think they're will be many of those there You look very good and everybody will get it! Mask needs some serious goring but since it isn't done yet I can't yet judge, for the moment though, great work!

I would maybe cheese grate some holes in it, maybe where the blood is plus I would brown down some of the blood splatters since blood gets dark when it is dried. maybe add some old moss to a shoulder. Just some suggestions but I'm loving it so far.

Appreciate the compliments. Yeah, the gore is coming! Some will be pre painted and the fresh part done on site. I'll have pics when I get back.

There are actually more tears/holes than show up in the picture. But I did go back in last night with some reddish-brown dyes for the older blood look. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to search for my bag-o-moss and stick some of that on too. I'll also have methylcellulose to spread on that night to give it that fresh, slimy look.

Finally got around to going through the pics we took at DragonCon and thought I'd share a few. It turned out alright, although one thing I seriously lack ability in is detailing the makeup. This one was compounded by the fact that one eye was completely blind and the other was minimal vision through a small mesh covered gap. For Halloween, I'm planning to pre-paint detail on the appliance before applying. Hope to get more pics then.
And for those of who who care nothing about this costume, I threw in a few pics with some Con hotties near the end. Enjoy.

Yeh, that was one thing I wasn't happy with. Hopefully it will turn out better for Halloween. Already been playing with some different color schemes.

Started re-working the makeup last night. Got the basic colors down, just gotta add some detail and gore. Much better, I think

Thanks. Yeah, I'm gonna keep the blood to a minimum. Mostly around the mouth and empty eye socket. I went overboard last time trying make up for the fact that I didn't like the general makeup. Going for the older dead look.
