I think the ID card is bigger than we've been estimating. A bigger card would fit the clear card slot better also.

I ordered an ID but I'll have to look into options since the card window is wider than ID size.

The photo I posted features the GG version.

It's snug and a little shorter than the opening, but it's a good pressure fit, and you can see that it isn't super noticeable.

The photo I posted features the GG version.

It's snug and a little shorter than the opening, but it's a good pressure fit, and you can see that it isn't super noticeable.

On the screen used there is a black border around the ID, you can make one by using black card and it should look exactly the same.

The more I look at it, the more I think it is larger than a standard size. Anyone that has one hold it similar. As I was told by @Hopkinsc1, the badge scale on these looks dead on, so we know the ID must be larger. We also know it was custom so it could light up, so a larger size to fit electronics makes sense to me.

Right you are. If you have an ID card already, you can scan it and make a larger version.
