greetings,
so i have decided to pull the trigger on a 3d printer and after many months of researching i wanted one that is widely used by others, in case something happens or I have a question, there are a vast community I ask turn to. So after searching here, it seems like the two most used printers (by those who say which printer they use) are the Makerbot Replicator 2 and the Soildoodle.
Makerbot has a very large google group community that I have been watching for the past couple months, and read that it has been recently confirmed that Makerbot will stop producing the Replicator 2, but will still have parts available, but still makes me worry, just a bit.
Soildoodle also has a active forums that I have been monitoring as well. seems like Soildoodle has less problems then Makerbot. I did take into account that there are much more users on MB group than Soliforum, but still something to think about.
With the makerbot costing more than twice as much as Soildoodle. My choice seems to lean towards Soildoodle, but I still want to hear what others think?
