Just reading about the crap Chris Rock and the others did made me happy not to watch. That and they snubbed so many celebs that died. The oscars need to go the way of the dodo.

I haven't seen Mad Max yet, but it didn't surprise Star Wars didn't win much. As much as I love Star Wars series overall and The Force Awakens, from an objective oscar standpoint, there really was nothing special about that movie. There were a few nice cinematic shots, but overall it was pretty much paint by numbers movie making.

agreed. we've basically seen it all before. I've never seen a mad max movie, so not sure if that is the case with that.
but the oscars typically like over preaching crap that nobody ever sees....how the hell did mad max even get in there? just going by the brief trailer I saw, it looks like joel schumacher made a crazy car chase movie. all that's missing is the neon and nipple suits.

I'm not really a big chris rock fan, ever since he dissed the hard working, and very under appreciated voice actors of hollywood. and i'm not big on racial humor (this is 2016, right?). the jack black joke...and the girl scout cookies bit was pretty funny. but other than that....eh.

also, did they leave out michael c gross? Supposedly he wasn't in the RIP section.
