2-1B Medical Droid, anybody been working on one?

2-1B Necks- Interest level

As far as vacu-formed necks with one machined aluminum neck plate, I would like to see what the interest level is. The plastic part would have to be trimmed to fit your head.

These would probably be in the $80 range depending on shipping costs. I haven't done the machining yet though so we will see how that goes.

I could also make a stand out of MDF painted satin black if there is interest there. I don't want to get to complicated though as my time is somewhat limited. I won't be able to do any vac forming until next month at the earliest.

Re: 2-1B Necks- Interest level

I have started back up on this again. Working on the neck rings and vac formed the back finally. Trying to keep this thread alive.

That is an awsome thread. I always loved 2-1B. I guess the original head was carved out of Styrofoam as the texture tells me.

Made some progress!

I just remembered a conversation I had at Collectormania, made me come looking for this thread.

The mouthpiece on 2-1B definitely IS a microphone, isn't it?

A tenner is at stake, against it being the same hairdryer used in the Vibro Axe...

Hello folks!
I decided to build a 2-1B medical droid and put him in my room.
I wonder how to start. I have no experience making replica of droids.
I have tons of questions like
What ESB is ? Its a reference? Where you get blueprint?
In what material you make the head and the neck/body?
I apreciate if someone can help me to start this droid :)
Thanks ^^

For mine I have used molding/casting, machining, woodworking, electronics, vac-forming to build my droid. It is a very difficult droid to build even if you have the resources. ESB is Empire Strikes Back.

i am making my first post to see more on this! Such an epic droid to build, and you are pretty much in my back yard haha. < Port Orchard Washington
