1/350 TOS E is happening.

oh, my bad, i was under the impresion it was 1/350, hhmmm, mybe my dyslexia was kickin again lol
right #s wrong order :)

Jay based on your work and enthusiasm, I can think of no one else that could do that first test shot justice like yourself!

Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence. :thumbsup

Of course, E. James Small will be doing his excellent first class work on the box art model (which will also be built from a test shot). Having the opportunity to do one of these IF the it were to present itself would be a very cool experience. And since I have ALPS printer capability, doing decals for the beastie wouldn't be too hard (I did it for a 1/1000 TOS E test shot years ago just before it came out).

Didn't they say the grid lines would be made fine? Scale those up and they'd be corridors!

Looks great otherwise :thumbsup

Can't wait to build one of these! Have to finish my PL 1:350 refit first though.

A lighting kit for $75 sounds excellent.

Yes, the grid line size is a bit disturbing. Not to get into a debate but I just don't get it! What are these people looking at?

Yeah, they look like really bad so far but at least they said there is still one more adjustment. If they must have lines, they should be as thin and shallow as they can make them.

Check your in boxes there is a new update.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I got home from work to find a new update to this. Seeing those pics, and knowing they're now that close to kitting this out, really put a smile on my face :D

You and me both! And for once, a lighting kit I think even I'll be able to afford, lol. It would be fantastic to light this beauty, rather than just do a static build.

I have feeling I will be sending my kit to Steve Neill... :)

I wish I could afford to send my kit to Steve :lol Unfortunately, the kit purchase itself and my wedding come first. Hopefully I won't do too deplorable a job on the finish for this kit. I've been out of the plastic model end of things for some years now :p

Well I think he did say in the first paragraph that the panel lines came out way too big from the factory and they were going back to make them smaller... and just my 2 cents... I'm cool with the panel lines if they are super tiny as advertised - those on display with this update - OUCH!!!!

A bit late but I finally found the online link to sign up for the Round 2
1701Club. I got my confirmation email but was hoping they would
send me the email update newsletters. I have pdf files of the first
2 but would really like the rest of them.

Does anyone know how to access the email updates online somewhere?

They aren't.

My thoughts exactly.

They were hell bent putting grid lines on from the beginning. They said they looked good in person, which means we have some work ahead of us. If we want an even remotely accurate model. The whole thing is a real shame, I guess the have to screw something up. I can't think of a kit from them that didn't have some huge flaw(if not a bunch).

One thing I still find funny with those guys. They put out a t-shirt without taking a single order, or selling the info to some third party. Just say your interested in a kit, we will send you a shirt. Ask the GKer's out there how many people are interested in a kit vs. buying one.
