1/350 enterprise d 6 footer

Got a cast for the ram scoops. Clear casting resin with a few drops of red candy dye. Looks like a jewel!

Looks so pretty all lighted.

Wow...just wow...that lighted pic of the nacelle is awesome!!

Working on all the panel lines, trying to get them all even and looking as close to the studio model as possible.

I enlarged the lifeboats from the new round 2 enterprise d. The green tape marks where the original screw cover hatches were to hold the bottom panel. I wanted them to be recessed so the panels will be flush.

A couple coats of primer, next the phasers and I will sand the primer down to the tape, pull it to leave a nice sharp line.

This baby is big! Thanks for looking!

She's looking GREAT! :) That shot of her on the foot stool is a total scale compass. When I picture her in my home, I hear love songs in the back-ground!!!:love

Nice work Galaxyman.

Do you mind if I ask you how and what material did you use to add such lines?

If somebody have the answer: What happend to Bruce Domain image databank.? In my PC the images of studio models do not appear any longer.

If you go to his main page he describes some disaster that lost him his images, but that was months and months ago... The site seems to be neglected a bit.

Update.
Working on all those panel lines! Fun! Fun! Fun!

First piece all buffed out ready for wax and molds. After laying down the tape I primered and sanded back to the tape height. Peeling the tape leaves a beautiful panel line!

Whew! That was a lot of panel line on the secondary hull! Got the phasers roughed in, none of the windows will be in the molds. I figure they have to be masked when I paint the model so why tape them off twice? Just to make my parts look cool? I plan to have pre templated window masks made, align them with the panel lines a bundle at a time, not one a lt a time.

Primered! This is the only reason I'm excited to go back to work tomorrow! I work on it on my lunch break.
Thanks for looking!

Damn. I'm getting more and more impressed every day with this build. It's really a thing of beauty, and your photos make me wish there were more tight shots of the ship in the show-- all those compound curves are mesmerising.

Galaxyman, I'm nobody compared to your wizard modeler skills.

But, If you allow me: Did you made some tests, painting some surface with 2 or three layers, after add the tape line ?

After all we can't know for sure what technic they used for add line and paint.

PS: I bet the CGI version didn't gave sh... to such details.
I saw some cgi inserts in a TNG screencap of blu-ray especial edition, and it was not like the real ship. The scape pods were too scarped.
