If you want a better perspective you must take the pics SIX feet away from the sculpt and using the zoom :thumbsup (Thx Mac)

Re: 1:3 stormtrooper sculpt wip trooper armour advice needed

The arms at their widest should really not be any wider than the lower leg. That's the best basis to judge whether you got the widths right.

Again... from what I know about the armor, and the experts can correct me if I'm wrong - but, like your arms, they are not round, if you do a cross-section, they are oval. Always think ovals when doing the arms. Start slimming things slightly on the inside and on the outside of the arms, then when you've gotten a good width there, you start blending the front and rear into that shape, by grinding those down a bit too.

The new elbow positions are much better, imo.

Man, if I could work as fast as you take directions... I'd be finished with my sculpts yesterday. Really awesome work.

Wow... I've just read from the 1st page bro! this is looking to be an awesome sculpt! (can't swear).. lol
What is good to see that is that you are taking the critique and making the changes as they come.
I for one when finished will be in line to buy a copy from a fellow UK'r.
Keep it up bro and I truly cannot wait to see how this turns out!!:thumbsup

Re: 1:3 stormtrooper sculpt wip trooper armour advice needed

Re: 1:3 stormtrooper sculpt wip trooper armour advice needed

Thanks all hopefully it wont be too long now need to get the arms right add a few details and clean him up!
I am in touch with the caster and using the helmet should be no problem but when i start the interest thread i will need to take deposits to fund the molds so it all depends how much interest there is in it.

Re: 1:3 stormtrooper sculpt wip trooper armour advice needed

The one that will come with it will be cleaned up and have the mic tips and lenses so if you want all the gritty bits your probably best to use the ones you bought already mine will be cleaned up .
Whats TD ?

Re: 1:3 stormtrooper sculpt wip trooper armour advice needed

There is something in the chest that bugs me, I don't know what could be. The arms look way better, congrats :thumbsup

Re: 1:3 stormtrooper sculpt wip trooper armour advice needed

Ant idea what it is? remember the chest looks all white but the black will set it off i may need to do a quick black paint. He looks a lot better than my photo.
Please let me know if you see any faults its getting close to the end.

Re: 1:3 stormtrooper sculpt wip trooper armour advice needed

I think I got it. The left is the corrected chest, the right is your actual chest. Maybe it's a lot of work, but it'll look way better I think. The problem is that the pectoral is a bit on the low side.
