I think we are getting there thankyou everyne your input has made all the difference i look at the first images and see how it's come!
If i can get the basic trooper correct the rest of the imperial troops should be straight forward

do you mean the piece of cake in the middle of the chest?

I think you don't need to cut the chest, just sand a little bit the bottom of the pectoral to make it a bit more angled, I think that's everything it need looking at the last pic.

Hey. Could you take a side view showing the chest? I need to see how you've done the slow bend towards the top of the chest towards the shoulders. It looks like it just goes straight up now, but a shot could help me illustrate if any sanding is needed and where.

In that reference shot you can really see how the bicep armor is shaped and where the elbows are. Really great comparison.

uuuugh those damn shoulder bells throw me off. I know I'm a broken record and try to get the swoop on the inside of the bicep pieces

Every little helps so the bells have a definitive angle on them on most shots they appear straight? I am confused :lol

Thanks. Basically near the top is where you should begin angling the chest in towards the neck, with a slight bend, if you know what I mean. It's like the chest should have a slight curve to it near the top, so it doesn't just go straight up. You can see it in the hero shots I sent you.
