Thanks. As I said, we put a lot of time and money into this thus far. There has to be some way of getting it out there without facing a C&D from Paraborg.

Yeah, I heard/read that the additional CG footage they put into STTMP DVD release was off and not based on the S.S model built by Trumboll.Its seen so briefly that you don't really notice it(except for those who are really fmiliar with the ship).Good to know you are basing this on the original studio miniature.I'm not sure I could afford a 1/2 scale re-fit Enterprise,but I'd love to have one.I'll sell a kidney or something.
I don't think that will be neccesary.
I don't think you would have to worry about a C&D. There are many makers
of trek kits in all scales out there and I have never heard of them getting issued
one. If you don't want to advertise, I could see that but private sales
could work. Consider it a private commision to build parts for a kit or
something like that.
Just a though as I would love the get a set of parts for one if the price
was right. :love

That's a brilliant idea. We'll have to work out some kind of work around. I'm finishing up all of the repairs, corrections and cleaning up the details. I'll have a link to some current photos very soon. I just recieved my order of silicone, as well as the brass and chemicals neccesary for etching detail parts. I have one larger order of silicone yet to come in, so it should not be very long before most of the ship is molded. I have molded several of the small detail parts, but have spent most of the last couple of months restoring it and getting it ready for molding.

I would love to have one as well but I don't think I could afford this kit. The dish alone would cost me my youngest grand child.:lol
I hardly think it will cost any where near that. :lol

The refit is one of my favorites and owning a large scale version of
one would be just awesome. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread for sure.
I'll be starting a new section of my blog dealing specifically with this model from begining to end and should be finishing up a new movie pretty soon.

Thanks. We sincerely appreciate all of the positive input. I'm working on getting it finished for production and working up the first build now, as well as finalizing the electronics, decals and brass etch parts. I'll be posting recent photos and a new movie in the next day, or two. Thanks again for all of the kind words, I'll pass it all along to my associate.

We're working on it, thanks. This was rapid prototyped Dec 5th approximately 2.5+yrs ago, unfortunately the vendor that we handed it over to, to put it in production couldn't get it finished and it sat idle for some time.. I've been repairing the broken parts, replaceing some of them with new parts, prepping the the new parts for mold and molding for the last couple of months. My associate and I are doing the best we can to get this finished and have a complete kit ready well before Christmas. We'll see how it goes. I just recently found that some of the corrections that were made to the main engineering hull were wrong, so I have to put them back in order.
