Hi Gang,

Time for the "End of the Weekend Update"!

Work on the Corridor Ring is nearing an end... FINALLY! I added the exterior trim, filler and then primer and sanded smooth

I've also be working VERY hard at the 1/4 and 1/6th scale "cockpit kits". I've been able to improve the overall structure and assembly which I hope will make things much easier!

Good Lord, between this and the videos you're going to burn yourself out. Take a breath, man. I don't know how you keep all these different scales separated. It is some pretty awesome stuff though. Just don't snap. Don't want to find you cowering behind the laser cutter in a cold sweat.

Hey K,

Thanks so much! No worries snapping. I snapped a LONG time ago. ;)

Believe it or not I'm actually more pumped/excited than I ever have been! I found that sweet spot between making vids and posting images and I'm having a total blast!

Hi Gang,

Time for another update! Lots of great stuff going on!

First, I weathered the 1/4 scale greeblies! The flight yokes...

Lovely for sure...what type of hoses did you use, btw?
I have just discovered your millennium falcon build and I'm in heaven. I was searching for Star Wars gizmos to give me ideas for my movie room build and your pictures are priceless to me!! I was wondering if you ever post 3d or laser files of some of the parts you make...or can recommend a place to get them.

Hi Gang,

Another "End of the Weekend Update"! ENJOY

I changed gears and created a display base for my 1/4 Scale Nav Computer and Chair!

Most excellent once again. Love the little greeblies, but once it's photographed, it's hard to know if it's full scale or the miniature version:cool::cool::cool:

Thanks, J!

The hoses in question are called "flexible wire covers". They are split down the middle length wise so you can tuck loose wire into the cover. They come in several sizes and are very inexpensive.

Hi MN,

Thanks so much! Glad you're enjoying the thread / build project.

We dont normally post files. That doesn't mean we dont help people who reach out. But we can't just give out files to anybody who asks. Many people have spent many many years creating and cataloging all the parts. If you're going for that familiar "Use Universe Look" we love so much, my suggestion would be to start searching junk yards for misc scrap parts - wire looms, plastic trim pieces, small light weight engine parts, etc. You would be amazed what you can find in a junk/scrap yard. Broken parts are the best and usually the cheapest.

Another great place to look is EBAY. Look up: Vintage - TV parts, Typewriter Parts, Aviation Parts, Vacuum Parts, Washing Machine / Dryer Parts, Reel to Reel Player Parts, Record Player Parts, Movie Camera/Projector Parts.

Is there any one part you are looking for or are you just getting ideas?

Thanks for the tips. I understand why you dont post files. I had to ask. I was just looking for general tips. Ive already built a working full scale r2 d2. He is very weathered “tattooine” style. I built him before there was such a thing as an r2 builders group or even an internet! Im now working on a twinkling fiber optic ceiling in my movie room. Im styling the room after the detention block in episode 4. The detention block blast door is already built with a stormtrooper standing guard in front of it. The movie screen comes down in front of a viewport styled after the viewport on a star destroyer I do have one question. Im looking for video files that look like tactical screens that i can put in a loop. Any ideas?
