Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

I can't believe it's only been 3 months since you started this project. Amazing work!

Hi H,

Thanks for the kind words. Believe it or not, I was hoping to be much farther along but you know how it is when "life" gets in the way. :)

Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

Here are the dome lights I made using resin copies of the door stopper and glass domes from Amazon.com. I used stained glass spray paint to color the underside.

WHOA! Those look fantastic! Do you have a link? I might try using those on the static console! :)

Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

Your insane brother!

LOL... :)

If you are going to build Leia let me know... an think of that there is no underwear in space... You're Crazy

LMAO! I dont even know how to respond to that one! ;) LOL

I hear you there man. The women can really do ya in. Great way to keep busy and a good productive one at that . Don't know how many times I can say it but I'm still looking forward to the extent of the finished product lol. This is more exciting than watching someone paint the Mona Lisa lol

Its been a very rough couple of months. Time is both our friend and enemy...

Thank you so much for the VERY kind words and encouragement. I'm really excited about the next stage of the project for both the console and the quad laser. As I always say... Stay Tuned!

You could recreate them by stacking washers and spacers and such, then bondo the seams, like my old X-Wing arm tool tutorial:

Hi T,

That's great stuff! Thanks for the tutorial. I've been in touch with a local machine shop and I'm going to see how much it will cost to replicate 8 pistons. I'm hoping it's not going to break me... Thanks again for the great tutorial. :)

This is one epic journey we're witnessing here !! Awesome

Hi Ki,

WOW... thank you very much. I'm glad you've been able to enjoy the journey as much as I have. :) I'm hoping "Phase II" will be as equally impressive and fun to build. Hang on!!!

Impressive, most impressive!! I am enjoying seeing/following your progress

Hi Sloth,

Again, thank you so much for the very kind words. I really do appreciate all the positive comments that have been posted. All you guys/gals have made the build even more enjoyable. I look forward to the day when the console is finally mated with the full scale MF! :) Then we can all enjoy it up close! :)

Thanks again

GREAT STUFF!!! Thanks for the link! have you mounted your "panel light" yet?

Yes, I've added these and the "buttons" to the wall. You can see it laying on its side in the pic. I now have four days to finish it up before having to leave for CVI. YIKES!

Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

Hi Gang,

Just secured some time with a local machine shop to discuss the 8 throttle pistons. I'll know something next week!

Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

Once I get it all set up at CVI I'll take a lot of pics.

Re: 1:1 Millennium Falcon Console Replica

Hi Gang,

I wanted to give you a little sneak peek of what was to come... Steve Starkiller has designed a smaller and more portable cockpit that will go around the static console. The actual cockpit is just too big to create and store so I decided to build a smaller version. The Panels are still the same dimensions and will eventually go to the full scale build - Starkiller just removed the lower part of the walls... And as usual... he does such an amazing detailed job!

I'm not sure if I will include the floor

Fantastic build Sofa!

Hi Sighkedelic,

Thank you so much. I have to admit, I've become a little burnt out. I've been going non-stop for quite some. I'm just waiting for the temps to drop. I should be good as newpretty soon.

Thanks again for the kind words. :)

Hi 13Doc,

Thank you so much. It's definately been a project! Phase II will be very interesting. I can visualize how the build will pan out... I just hope I'm able to execute with the same perfection! :)
