1:1 Millennium Falcon Cockpit Replica - Group Build

is it me, or are there a lot more smoke streaks on the falcon's rear quarters in that last shot (as compared to the fist shot)? An exciting hint of action to come, I reckon. Looking forward to seeing the falcon's engines billowing smoke and she darts around in a space battle.

I read that the last picture was actually taken before the first one, while they were still building the X-Wings before moving them into position by the bunker doors. Also note the yellow-orange landing strips on the pavement in the first picture seem to by absent in the last picture (as in not yet painted in the last picture). Why then does that blemish appear on the falcon's rear in the last picture, but not in the LATER first picture, who knows???... Bit of a mystery there.

could be just a matter of filming out of sequence. I did notice the lack of the yellow stripes as well. But then, it does seem like a pain to have the falcon all painted with smoke and battle scars, and then re-paint for a later shot where she's all cleaned up.

More images over at "Star Wars 7" ... If you look REEEEEEEALLY CLOSE, you'll notice there seems to be some kind of dish pedestal sticking up in the framework (unfinished side) roughly where the falcon's dish would be expected to be...

Another thing about the most recent hi-def image is that the framework on the unfinished side looks to be more complex than it did in the first picture, plus, now you can see what seems to look like the underside plating of the ship underneath the framework. This has to be the most recent shot then (despite what I read elsewhere), as you can see at least the partial makings of the falcon's dish has been added, but if this really is the most recent shot, I wonder why the yellow-orange landing stripes on the pavement disappeared on the wider shot (below)?? Seems like they might be quickly adding or experimenting with things and then taking away other things as needed for the shots to look right. EDIT: You'll see some flattened "stand-up" X-Wings in the background at this link: http://www.latino-review.com/news/star-wars-first-look-x-cellent-x-wing

These images are amazing! It is possible that the previous picture showing the yellow strips may be used for close ups of a different part of the location?

If I remember correctly, one of the novels visits Dantooine - something in my memory is telling me that they described the planet similar to how the above pictures look.

I was thinking that. They may have needed a close-up scene or scenes with the stripes, then erased them for the scene(s) which involve multiple ships on screen. There's another update today that says John Boyega has been on set already, and that Harrison Ford is expected on set on Monday. EDIT: There's a little debate going on as to whether or not he's already there at this thread... http://boards.theforce.net/threads/harrison-ford-in-episode-vii.50018763/page-170

Side view of the "unfinished side" of the falcon. By golly! Is that the falcon's new dish sticking up??... Kind of a squarish-looking deal now??

I spy a quad gun under the falcon!!... ...and if you look closely, one of the landing gear. (via "Star Wars 7 News" http://www.starwars7news.com/ ).
