So.....Batman is going to be in Ep. VII? Oh well, the Millennium Falcon was used as a building in Blade Runner. I love Easter eggs.
For those in the know...Has there ever been that level of detail shown that clearly before?

I've never seen any shots that clean, but I'm less in the know than some. It seemed more detailed, like they took the Ep V version production stills and said, "MORE"

Thanks Maruska lol, if only I was so sharp. I recently threw out an old dryer that would have made an interesting shiny metal display shelf - by chopping the drum in half and using it to hold up both ends. Now I'm thinking "why did I chuck it away" grrr lol.

An early morning update! Greeblies and Tiles!
These two greeblies arrived yesterday!
I then got started on adhering the 1" acrylic tiles
After a few rockers were added...
I'm going to change out the blue and white button panel for the yellow and white
I big package of acrylic arrived as well! Now we can get to laser cutting more tiles! Also, fellow RPFer Maruska has been working on getting certain files ready for the CNC! LOTS of pics coming!

Great work SS. The 2nd render from the dish side of the ship gives the square shape better context (if that's the right word) as there's more oblongyness from the ship's panels to visually balance it out. Is an odd idea to get used to though.
A lot of staring like a crazy person and a bit of luck in some cases lol. But for some parts it took looking back at a film studio's history, its filmography and shared connections. A number of props seem to have started their careers at the same time, possibly from Twickenham Film Studios for things like the ANH panel lights - a couple of ideas showed the lights being used as far back as 1964 in 'A Hard Day's Night' and 633 Squadron and what could be a full set in The Terrornauts from 1967, but I've not seen that film yet to check it out. That was the starting point....

But Jessie really came through for me and cut a BUNCH of stuff on the laser cutter! There will be lots of forward progress this week!

Hey Y,
The backlight was only temp so I could center the tile over the holes. Unless the lighting guys change direction, the plan is to backlight every tile. Good news for them, none of them flash so that makes it a little easier.
