1:1 Millennium Falcon Cockpit Replica - Group Build

Seeing the levers in place in the throttle housing is pure awesomeness! And the lighting is bringing everything to life.

Reading this thread and seeing the advancements being made daily on this project always put a smile on my face. Amazing work guys!

Simply breathtaking!!!!! :thumbsup
The visors are soooo cool!!:cool

Hi A,

Thanks so much! The team is really pulling together during these last few days!

When the full cockpit is completed, you guys HAVE to find a tall local dude who can wear a Chewbacca costume for appearances. Or at the very least, when the Full Scale Falcon is complete, Chewie needs to be the "tour guide" with a "translator" explaining what he says.

Hi M,

We're working on just that idea... Stay Tuned for an update! :)

Glad you have a plan for the diffusion... I should have known that you would have something up your sleeve!

Oh yeah... we wouldn't leave the nav screen that way. :)

Hi C,

Thank you so much! As I mentioned, the sound/lighting guys have brought this project to a whole new level. A static prop is always fun, but when add sounds, lights, etc... it's just like being there. I guess the next step is to make it fly? ;)

That's amazing work that your team is doing- can't wait to see more progress updates!

Hi S,

I couldn't agree more! All these guys are amazing. I'm very lucky to be working with such talented folks! :) Stay tuned for more fun this evening!

This is looking more beautiful every day. That nav screen is gorgeous.
I really want to sit at it and push buttons and flick switches and play with those levers and just wow

Hi Gang,

Another night at the lab... There was A LOT of wiring, sanding, priming, sanding, pin striping... Not too many pics but we got A LOT accomplished!

I got to work on the new matte box. I decided to prime/fill the inside before adhering all the levels together. This allows me to make sure everything is smooth.

More tomorrow!

So this is getting intense. Did you subconsciously put the lights to look like HAL so there is an excuse why 3PO can communicate with the ship about the polarized power couplings on the negative axis?

Maybe you can put some weird quotes for the visitors who stay in the very night in the cockpit. :p

"I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Han. Han, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a MFALC 9000 computer. I became operational at the SofaKing Industries in Huntsville, Alabama on the 19th of March 2014 6:56 AM. My instructor was Mr. Sofaking, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you."
