and just to prove I'm not prepared to sweap anything under the carpet and face up to any faults this sculpt might have I did this overlay of one of my more rarer images of the screen Yoda...

There IS FACIAL DISTORTIONS due to the expersion here and the angle doesn't match exactly but the overal geometry is pretty close - but theres still plenty of work to do guys :love

That is a thing of beauty, and it really does look like it should be the most accurate Yoda sculpt out there. I can understand you wanting to make those final subtle tweaks though, to ensure it's the best. I'd LOVE to order one of these when it's finished.

Phil I think you are being too harsh on your V2. No need to try and slander a perfectly wonderful sculpt is there? Obviously you have done great work on the V3 but I think the V2 still compares very favorably?

Here is a comp just to show that I dont think the proportions are as bad as you think.

Judging by your comparison of your V3 in the above post I think the V2 might be closer proportionally even if you have improved the details.

Thanks for still appreciating MY older sculpt.... But I beg to differ with your opinions. By all means do an overlay like I've done on my new one. Only then I think you will realise the truth there in

I think the left eye on this sreen grab is being distorted because the ears are being manipulated as far back as they ever go on screen.
This may be pulling the corner of the eye into the slanted position.
Comparing you two pics above your Yoda's left eye is a bit too slanted down. This is actually what the screen grab is doing so the likeness is exactly the same , but maybe a bad screen grab to compare eyes with.
My V2 is now so last decade!

Phil, that`s what exactly what I meant! I'm still struggling to get you a proper pic of what I meant!

Keep up the good work!! I'll definitely be in the lineup to get one of these if they ever become available!

You DO your research work indeed. And it does pay off!

Just one question.. as you know Yoda´s was made of foam.. could it be possible that the head suffered form slight alterations in shape due to the outher skin moving over the fiberglass skull? Have you considered this possibility? Just asking

Absolutely true... The actual sculpt form changed as dictated by the animatronics and inner skull according the Nick Maley.

I think you're close enough. You're going to rack your brain trying for perfection. Every picture is going to be different because of angles and because it's a latex mask.

You've done an outstanding job!

I've been working on a helmet, on and off for about 15 years, trying for perfection. Lens distortion, angles and everything else comes into play and it's just so time consuming and stressful. I say move on to another project as this version IS the closest and the ultimate fan made Yoda, ever. And probably will ever be.

BTW I missed those comparisons from before of your different versions. Pretty amazing. Do you know anything about whether when Yoda says "you will be" if there is distortion of the mouth at all? It seems the upper lip area below the nose is taller than on your earlier v3. It would be interesting to see a blu ray closeup comparison of particular areas on your latest V3 vs your favorite screencap.

The Mark Hamill head??? I've been doing a bit more than just the head LUKE SKYWALKER PROJECT or do you mean am I still going to do just a bust??? I'm not sure
