[QUOTE=nkg;4315203]Joshua Maruska has unbelievably kindly made the Falcon front seats as 3D models for free!

    https://grabcad.com/library/millenni...aptain-s-chair

Nice! thanks for the heads up nkg! I actually have access to some very nice printers....

Hmm, Now I have to figure out what scale to print it. I've heard the original scale was 1/48th I think? This data says it's 1/35.

EDIT: According to this, it would be 1:48th scale. http://www.theforce.net/SWTC/lambda.html Its in the section under "Kenner Toy"

308 Bits on shapeways has made a separate listing for just the flight seats!

    OK!
So, sorry I took so long to update, but the Shuttle is now as done as any project can ever be. Got the weathering done, the registration marks and all that. I'll take another pass at it at some point, but I just don't see the shuttle being heavily weathered.

For the base, I used an old record turntable platter, and painted and chipped it up. Thought it looked pretty cool!

After that, It was mounting, attaching the wing guns and buttoning it up! Not quite sure what I'll be doing next.

    Thanks!
Also threw it into photoshop to see how it'd look in action.

Looks nice. I would have filled in the line on the side where the pieces go together. But really great job either way. That lighting crazy.

I seriously thought about it, but I wanted to be able to go back in when I learn more about Arduino and add in servo motors to actuate the wings via remote. That, and in case any component fails over the years, I want to get back in there instead of having to say "Well, that part used to do something, but it broke".

Great job! I would have filled all the gaps/screws, remove the cockpit hinge to make it less of a toyish look.

True, I just need to get back into it to eventually add servo motors, and in case something goes bad over the years.... Don't want to be stuck explaining why this or that light doesn't work anymore. "It's a 10 cent/ 30 minute fix, but I sealed it up 5 years ago..."

That's my father's favourite Star Wars ship. You've just made it one of mine. That's some impressive work!
