Being born in '81, I was too young to dress up for the Original Trilogy, and the prequels really didn't seem worth it. Might as well have some fun at TFA!
I already own a black robe/cloak, several lightsabers, and a thick leather belt. I don't really see the point in spending a lot of money on a Kylo Ren helmet and saber only to still be very inaccurate. Instead, I'm making up my own original Knight of Ren character using a cheap paintball mask/helmet.
I'm thinking of: 1) removing the visor and perhaps re-purposing it as a neck guard, 2) painting the piece encircling the mouth metallic silver, 3) scuffing it up, 4) replacing the clear lens with black plastic and cutting eye slits, 5) covering up any logos, of course, and 6) adding some greeblies. I'll come back and update the thread when it arrives and I get to work.
So, in the meantime... what would you guys do with this mask?
