Hi Gang,
Not much of a weekend update. Spent most of yesterday cleaning the workshop and getting ourselves more organized. Also, the rain, as usual, decides to make an appearance on the weekend making it tough to use the power tools... The laser cutting seems to be holding steady so that's a good thing and I was able to knock a few things out.
Finally updated and cut this greeblie
Uh oh!
Primed
Painted black and awaiting the traditional silver
Those standoffs I mentioned last week
These look much better than the pile of nuts I put in place. Just need to paint silver
One of my fav panels!
I then routed the edges of the door pads to allow for a more graceful curve - practice piece
Before
The router didn't remove as much material as I would have liked in most areas
Nice rounded edge
I'm reworking this greeblie pack
More work on the foot well panel
After painting I think I'm going to add some pinstripes
The foot well panel will have a few greeblies mounted to include this one I designed... Laser Cutter Works!
Getting closer to the actual shape and design
Acrylic top
When I got home I dry fit everything to see how it would look... hmmmmmmm
It looks like a big grasshopper!
I don't think I like it... What do you guys think?
Back to the workshop to get some real work done! And of course... it's raining.
More to Follow!
