Nerf Gun Props? YES!

With testors (flat aluminum's my favorite) the brush doesn't get all gummy, I'd recommend heading to Michaels and pick up a little bottle for 2 bucks, it'll last you a long time.

While you're there, grab a flat black too, helps touch up screw-ups and overspray

I found this thread and was in awe and was inspired by the incredible work on these guns!

I am currently working on a Batman costume and just about finished my grapple gun. I forgot to cut off the keyring hole on the handle and I still need to make or modify my darts to look more like grappling hooks.

I don't know if it's to the level of a lot of the work on this thread, but it is a Nerf gun, so I thought I would post.

Let me know what you think.

Great work guys!

- Whit, I like the batman theme, and I really like that color scheme. Might have to borrow it =)

- aeonpulse, glad the drybrushing technique is working for you, where's some pics?

- Aestivalis, I find drybrushing the black guns the easiest because any screwups can just be brushed over with Testors flat black. I always worry drybrushing some weird spray can color, cause then, it's tough to fix screwups.

- Johnson Arms, stop it. Everytime I have an idea for a color theme, you've already done it! =p Give us new guys a chance =) I'm steampunking a longshot, and no matter how I lay it out, it's gunna look just like yours, but not so amazing.

Got some more in progress pics coming, gotta keep this thread alive.

OK, here's some stuff in progress. I'm finding that everything is always in progress. I get bored or run out of ideas and move onto something else. So, here's a few, not sure if a few of these have been seen before.

I've posted here before, but I don't remember the images actually embedding properly..hrmm
Anyways, I've just made a flash suppressor/silencer type attachment for my Seburo Rayven mod. It's made from the bayonet lock and internal barrel of a Recon barrel attachment, with the casing made from some old bottles :lol

I am super impressed by like all of these, Reallly makes me want to try and and do something like this myself, Thank you for sharing everyone!

Heavy Bolter from warhammer 40k. Used a vulcan grip/trigger section along with the body of a Buzz Bee 50 cal. for the sound effects. Also used two nerf vulcan ammo belts to run from the ammo box to the bolter. Will be carried by a sister of battle in the D8con parade.

Hey great job. I have one that i want to paint. can you give me some details? What paint did you use? how many coats? did you take it apart at all? did anyparts get gummed up? thanks

These guns are AWESOME!!! Is it really difficult to make them? Cause to me they look super-mega unbelievably impossible to make! Do any of these guns in this thread are able to shoot? How long does it take? And how much would it usually cost (range)?
