Does anyone have any good tips or leads on the cape? How many panels there are? etc. Or know anyone who's working on one? Its the last thing I need to figure out.

It looks to me like the cowl is removed completely here. I think we can even see his voice modulator.

EDIT: It could also just be the cape attachment...

I'm putting together a suit myself. I decided to get a "Dark Shadow" from UD Replicas.

I'm gutting the suit and pants.
Removing the front zipper and making the back a "corset" so I can get in and out of it and make it as slim in the midsection as possible.
Adding spandex gussets to the arm pits and crotch.
Painting the entire suit Pantone Cool Gray 46 then adding the tire tread pattern in black and the armor "seams".

I'm making an 8 panel, 60" cape out of Fake Leather - 2 Way (Black). Spandex World Item # 10868

This is just a test I did before any alterations where begun.

I'm very happy with the cowl. Fits great.Slight flexibility in the neck.

It was about $225.00 (US) after shipping and handling and I got it in 4 days. Wow! I tried it on over a t-shirt. It added ONE inch to my chest and midsection.

For the gloves I'm thinking about going with these.

Here's my take on it. The dye sub suit is by Mau5 and the emblem is a production copy. I'm almost done puff painting the black, all I have left to are the legs. I also started to add the silver on the suit. I was hesitant at first, but it is so worth it in my opinion. I tried to take pictures from different angles to see how the light reflected from the suit. I've only added the silver around the emblem and the torso. The fifth picture is with flash, the rest are without. Any criticism is welcome!

Thanks! I wish I was jacked haha. No I have a custom muscle suit coming in a few days. I plan to glue the dye sub to the muscle suit since thats kinda how it looks like in the pictures. I'll post pics when it gets here.

Salvador Elias, dude, looks like the silver is the key to all of the magnificent shine, also, that pattern looks to be the most accurate I have seen so far, looks great man, looking forward to seeing it finished. How did you apply the silver, did you brush it on?

That looks so awesome! Any special technique that works best when applying the puffy paint? And any thought on adding the "seam" lines with grey paint?

Thanks guys. Believe it or not, the silver is puff paint. It's all I've used for the silver and black. I experimented with different silvers and metallics and came to the conclusion that what I used was the most accurate in my opinion. I also wondered about the "seam" lines and wondered if the silver I'm using would work for those. But yes, I plan to do something with the seams. As to the technique, I used two different black puff paints for the marks. One with a small nozzle, and one with a bigger nozzle. It seemed to get things done a bit faster but, say goodbye to your free time if you plan on doing this haha.

I thought I'd share what I've been doing so far, since my Tiger Stone FX cowl came in today (which I recommend). And please, ignore the ridiculously filthy mirrors I used, I'm looking into cleaning them...

The files for the mech suit are from Aztlan, and that's the size they are without scaling.

I've been slowly putting together an Apocalypse Batman behind the scenes. What are people generally doing for the gloves? I've seen the $14 tactical gloves on eBay user a lot, but are people using anything else?

Tiger stone Fx have the gaunlets with the hand wraps and knuckles but you have to get the leather gloves yourself.

I ordered some leather "Dura-Thin Search Gloves" from Amazon, to stick with the leather look, and I'll make the hand wrap from faux leather vinyl and the brass knuckles from foam.
