So do you store all your past models on display in a room?
I'd like to see that if so.
I took the pics this morning.
Be my guest.
It's in a corner of our bedroom.
Katsu, What type of tool do you use to cut alu sheets?
A large cutter? I mean: not a modeller tool?
Here are some pics of the tools and technique.
Nothing special.
I usually use normal scissors which yo use for paper or something. It's good enough for the sheet up to 0.5 mm thick. 0.5 is strong enough for the model building.
I usually use 0.3 to 0.5 thick aluminum sheet.
When you use the scissors, the cut sheet will be bent or warped.
Put the sheet on the anvil and hit it lightly with the wooden stick or something.
Here is. Pretty simple.
When you cut away the straight line.
Use the standard cutter knife like this.
Run the knife twice or three along the ruler.
Then bend the cut line twice or tree.
Here you go.
You don't need the anvil this time.
Also, you can use a small circle saw for these cutting.
Stick the aluminum sheet on the plastic plate to get a clean cut.
If you want to bend it, use anvil and wooden stick.
When you bend the sheet.
Use anvil or edge of your work desk.
Hit it lightly with a wooden stick.
If you need a sharp corner angle, run the backside of the knife along the line. (not the backside of the sheet)
that's it.
This is a thing of beauty, Katsu-san.
Please don't paint it.
My heart is drifting between the both options now.
To be or not to be?
Thank you for looking.
Any of your questions will be welcome.
