So i've began work on a few Zer0 props for my planned costume,
looking forward to seeing how it all looks once its done.
progress has been a little slower than i expected, turns out i'm allergic to the clay i'm currently using, so.. that's awesome.

going to give this helmet the slicone rubber treatment when ive gotten it perfect, and make myself a slush cast, but im not 100% on how best to get the visor, or part of the visor to be translucent yet

i think i'm nearing completion of the sculpt. i've been using fine grit sanding sponges to smooth everything down

it's very tempting to sculpt in the battle damage, but i would rather do that afterwards with some tools on the cast,
also, in game, the damage on the helmet (except the visor) is mirrored, so i'm not sure how good that will look in real life,

Awsome work on the helmet so far. Really looking forward to seeing it come together.I have a friend who looking to do a visor or possibly the whole helmet in vacuum form.
Good luck :)

Very nice work. What will you be using to cast with? Semi transparent black resin?

Hey guys, yes ill be selling a few casts down the liñe if there is interest, please PM me or keep an eye on the junkyard in the new year about details, I cannot discuss a run of helmets outside pm or the junkyard, it's the rules of the forum :)

Not sure on the casting plastic ill use yet, but tinted clear toto casting resin could be my weapon of choice
Do you have a pep file for this?

Nope, the whole thing was sculpted by me, with clay. I don't have a pep of this nor have I used one on this project, just good old fashioned sculpting skills

I found this pep file made by JTM1997
Zer0 - Download - 4shared?

I used this for my pep build, whether or not I finish it I don't know, just a quick note, I scaled mine to 300mm height, because 280mm seems too small, the visor has also been made with a wider visor so fitting it in your head is easier.

I'm keen to see how this works out for you. It's pretty tricky to get even thicknesses when rotocasting, so there's probably going to be a significant amount of distortion when looking through it. If I was doing it, I'd vacform the visor in clear or tinted sheet, then work out a way to bond it to the rotocast main body of the helmet.

In any case, I'm loving the sculpt so far. Also looking forward to seeing your solution to the floating icon in front of his helmet.

Yeah, it's going to be an experiment for sure.
Though in regards to the icon? I won't be bothering.
In game the icons show for a few seconds every few mins, so it's really not essential that I have a floating zero in front of my face when the character doesn't spend all that much time with it
