zenix' poison vial from The Acolyte

Just documenting progress of my build here. I'll likely do a run if there's interest in a metal version.

I started with several reference images.

I did a little detective work to try and estimate sizes, based on standard sizes of vials that are readily commercially available.

I sketched out the overall shape.

3d printed a few prototypes, settled on a style of cap I like, and matched the colored water using some yellow and a tad of green dye I had around.

If there's enough interest I'll make a limited run of these using machined metal instead of just 3d printed plastic.

I bet they used highlighter liquid on set... like took the inside of a highlighter and put in water and used that water.

I was wondering how secure that stopper is. Is it mainly a display piece? Would the plug come out if jostled? Leak proof?

It was too tight originally with the first o-ring I used. I made an adjustment and now it's better. It's definitely sealed and won't come out if jostled. I'd feel comfortable wearing it but wouldn't be totally surprised if it came off in a day of pretend fighting. Just wearing it I'd be okay with.

This should give you an idea of what the stopper I've made is like. I went back and forth on design styles based on what vials I could find .I chose this style because I believe it's what they used in production and in universe what it looks like Mae did when she used it.
