Yogi Bear - an alternate ending

That's really well done for a homemade short. The rug's eyes do move at the end but i'm wondering if it is a glitch from them rendering.

Odd I liked it. Then again I never like most Hannah barbara or live action ones like this Yogi mess.

Saw the trailer for the film last night - couldn't BELIEVE how hard it sucked.

Seriously, how do they get these things that wrong? It must take a large team of people labouring very hard for years with single-minded focus, right?

The animation for this is better than what i've seen in the commercials, then again the makers of this probably didn't have a studio breathing down their necks.

That's the best thing about home-grown CG shorts like this. Not only is no one breathing down their necks about it, but the creators do things like this because they WANT to, not just because it's their job, which makes a huge difference in the outcome.

Finally watched the clip, with my wife, she cracked right up and so did I. Beautiful! :)

That's actually why we had so many drop outs of the computer and normal animation program in art school. The one teacher said he hated that the school was never honest about the realities of working for the studios and game companies before kids signed up for classes. As soon as they find out how tough it is they went to other programs or schools.

I agree the homemade shorts are usually really good quality.

That's exactly why I didn't go into the industry. A friend of mine pointed it out to me one day, and it was a kind of smack-in-the-head common sense that I just couldn't see on my own. I love it as a hobby, and if I did it for a living, for someone else, it would no longer be a hobby.. just a job. The last thing I would want to do when I got home at the end of the day was more CGI.
