X-WING 1:1 SCALE

So jealous. I know I'm repeating myself, but I can't get over how awesome this is going to be. AND with your track record I know that it will really get made and be phenomenal. So many big projects on here peter out when they hit a roadblock, but you're a machine!!! You don't work for Skynet do you?

OK, Friday update; front fuselage and nosecone are done, for now...might tweak it a bit when I come to assemble both halves but for now, she's good.
Ready to finish and fit the canopy and start the cockpit;

Got the multitude of asymmetrical panel lines cut in and added the greeblies, including the scaled up HO brick panels

And put on the paint and weathering passes...impossible to take decent pics inside the workshop

Years of incredible continuous construction talent. Spartanly accomplished inside a work shop that still appears to be the white party tent. Full size, scale X-Wing model building with all the small details, painting and weathering skills. Plus, that is after 3D modeling and extraordinary resource homework done on the subject. Awesome!

Thanks for the feedback guys...so another Friday update; finished prepping, painting and glazing the canopy sections and got the basic structure for the dash installed. Also found a seat I liked...have been searching for the original rally seat used but not a chance.

Apologies for missing a week...had some family stuff to take care of. So this Friday update sees the back fuselage taking shape...just finishing off the bottom half...which is MUCH bigger, this half. There will be quite a lot of detail, as well, with the back engine panel, the droid strip and the wing spindle area. The idea is to have a full size, working R2 unit in the back, of course!

Sorry for the crap pic;
