I bought these claws off ebay from seller brad52graham a little over a week ago. They were $ 49.99 (Free shipping) and are suppose to be 440 stainless steel (I'm not a metal expert, but they look stainless steel to me). I'm happy with them; I like the metal replicas just because I don't do cons or anything, so it is nice to have "functional" claws. They are dull on the edges, but the points are sharp. These are seem more durable than my other set of stainless steel claws.
The cut of the claws are not exactly the same as any used in the films and they are parallel, so there is no "spray". I did this comparison.
I really need to up my work outs. haha
I did a few shots with them in various Wolverine gear (X-O;The Wolverine (Funeral;Nagasaki;Silver Samurai fight )
Note: Nothing is SA, pretty much everything is close enoughs.

comonbub I can't really bend them by hand, they give a little if I try though so I guess it is possible. I'm sure there is a way to mechanical bend them, but I don't have access to machinery or anything like that. More or less, I just pointed out the difference so if anyone liked them, they would know upfront that they are not screen accurate. Personally, I'll probably just use them in pictures from time to time, so, to me, they are fine as is. lol

just picked up this for cheap on eBay nowhere near a vanson or olf but for the price it's a great knock around jacket and just means that x2 is next :-D

Also, it looks like the 70s jacket has that same panel on the back as the origins one. I see a lot of simularities in the build. The back is sexy as hell ._.

I'm REALLY looking forward to this one. I'm still not a fan of Kitty having time travel power, it doesn't make a lot of sense, but it is fictional after all. haha

Yeah, I hope he brings back the magic on all counts. X-2 is my personal favorite. The score can make or break a movie. I'm probably getting to far ahead, but if we see Wolverine in the 80's in X-Men: Apocalypse I hope he is sporting a jacket similar to the X-O, X-1, or X-2. It would just fit with the timeline. DOFP jacket is fine for this movie, because it fits the 70's and Wolverine picks up his iconic jacket in 1979 so he should have it in the 80's onward. With him messing in the timeline though, I'm unsure if any of Origins will be canon anymore.

You're welcome, I posted them just in case it got taken down, and sadly it happened. Thanks for posting the article on the 70's shirt! I love the shirt too, maybe we can find something similar to it. I like how Wolverine could wear that in present day and it would not really look that out of place. He seems to like70's, but he was introduce at that time so it is fitting. haha
Since you are pretty much the authority on claws, what do you think of the DOFP bone claws do they look the same to you? Personally, I think they look slightly thinner and smother, but it probably isn't worth noting. If there is difference, it doesn't look huge.
I have not studied the bone claws from one movie to the next side by side to pick out every minor detail that might be different but based on the images I have and what I have seen I think that the claws pretty much look the same. It is possible they have been using the very same claws in every movie. If not, they have done a decent job at maintaining continuity in design. They are all about the same length, shape, and size. Even the knobby parts look to be the same in my opinion. Again, I have not done a side by side comparison of the bone claws from each movie. I think any impression of them being smoother is due to the low quality images that are out for the new movie. Once we get more hi-res images then we will see more detail.
If I find anything like that shirt I will share it but I really want to know what brand that shirt is that Hugh is wearing.

But, after watching the special features on the Origins DVD. I can tell the claws are more "blade-like", then I thought. Sorry about that
I have costume bone claws that they released when X-O came out, but I may need to upgrade to a set of yours. On a related note, my personal, favorite design of the bone claws in the comics were the ones Jimmy Hudson had, they look perfectly shaped like blades.
