Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Commonbub there is nothing worn with being a jock and going to a con. I still consider myself a athlete and I love conventions! I figured out a long time ago to not care what other people think! If you want to do it, do it!

Yeah I know. I just thought the athlete/nerd was always a contradicting kinda thing. While we're showing off the X3, here's mine. I wear it all the time as you can tell. It's weathering very nicely.

Where is Dragoncon anyways? Never thought I'd say that I was interested in going to a con considering I was a jock in high school but it's kinda growing on me hahaha.

Lmfao! I relate. My first was gencon 1999. It was because I took the controller job at wizards of the coast. I'd been a pretty traditional finance & accounting guy who'd play college ball. Then WotC... Different world...

Also Dan, I've noticed you've got piping going on around the very end of the sleeve on the suede. I thought you said you couldn't get that done because of the sleeve closure? Well that's what I remember from the X1 discussion anyways..

That's not piping you see, it's the finished edge of the suede folded over. It's a little bulkier than the Bates screen worn version and blends in with the piping width, so I can see how that looks like it's piping on the end. You are right in remembering that zipping up the sleeves would be near impossible if there was piping on the cuff.

By the way...those are thee BEST shots of an unmolested Vanson X2, wait...the only so far showing the gussets . But I have been waiting to see how well those sleeves zip up, and how tight they are around the wrist. Pretty damn snazzy, Dan. Another win under 'ol Sitting Bull. ;)

Dan, have you tried the alcohol treatment on this particular chocolate brown yet? If so how does it look? Super curious. :)

Yeah, notice how the sleeve zipper ends a little short and doesn't go all the way down like the Vanson X1. The zipper on my X1 goes all the way down leaving no room to zip it all the way which means your wrist has room to breathe. Either way, I like it!

Drool stated that correctly, it's just a 1/4 inch top-stitch like the rest of the cuff end, as opposed to the Bates method where they tend use a 1/8 only on the gusset piece and then 1/4 inch on the remainding cuff.
I had to do a uniform method of topstitch around the entire cuff-end due to the way jacket assembly is at vanson.

Drool - on the alcohol treatment...Nope, not yet, the first one out was a clean build request.

I'll be washing down the XO - possibly tomorrow if I get bored? More pics...

Any suggestions, Dan?
