Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

In case anyone is looking for them, Amazon has them for less, and if you click the banner link, the RPF gets a kickback :)

And yes, sorry..I'd rarely recommend buying direct from the online site of the company....It's not the cheapest way out there to get them...

I didn't order from Amazon, since I'm in Japan, and Amazon.co.jp doesn't carry them anyway..But I wasn't meaning to buy them from the Wolverine site...Although I guess one could..

Sorry to be confusing....I meant that as a guide for the model to get, nothing more...

I love my new Origins jacket! I got it from http://www.wolverinejacket.com/ For a $15.00 off code use "I know Solider"

Hi
Photos look great like the scenery :)
That jacket looks good haven't heard of anyone having one from wolverinejackets.com
How is the jacket ? Is it a thin or a thick leather ?

The jacket is made as well as any leather bicker jacket I purchased at Wilson's leather. I'm not a jacket expert, but I have a closet full of jackets( I have more 4 time more jackets and clothing then my wife, and she tells me I do all the time too) I'm a life long Wolverine fan with many comic book boxes. I've been researching Wolverine jackets out there for a long time now and I felt very apprehensive about buying a jacket online, not able to try it on first. I've seen a lot of jackets that had a few things about them I did not like as far as a Wolverine Origins replica jacket goes. After seeing this jacket on the web site along with a few videos on youtube; I found nothing I did not like about it. I also have had a lot of e-mail conversations with the web pages owner (who is also a big Wolverine fan) I couldn't be happier with the jacket I got. I've been wearing it out every day since I got it.

THe jacket is a thick leather, almost as thick as my (2nd) favorite brown vintage leather bicker jacket from Wilson's leather. The Wolverine jacket feels almost as heavy as my bicker jacket also. However it's fit is closer to a fashion jacket. The back pleats give good flexibility moving both arms forward at the same time. The leather is not shiny and has a vintage look to it. The orange-ish tan dealing is in the right places, the arm stripes don't hit your elbows when you bend your arms, just like the origins movie jacket. The shoulders are squared, also like the movie jacket, framing you out nicely, manly. The zippers all work perfectly and the stitching is very solid. The jacket feels like it's going to last a very long time. For my first online ordered jacket, I hit the jack pot.

Let me know if you would like any close up pics on the jacket in any areas.

That is a good review. Thanks for the info. The jacket looks real nice and fits you well. Do all the zippers start and end in the right places or are any of them backwards? I did notice that in a couple pics it looks like there is some stripes or something in the dye work. Like some parts of the leather were dyed darker than others in a diagonal stripe like pattern. Is this noticeable in person or is it something that the camera picks up on that the human eye does not?

thanks for the review Solider as the web site really doesnt look to trust worthy lol, and its helping me in picking some where to get a jacket from

oh and darkside501st ill be pm-ing you some time soon i hope to get a set of your lovely claws

following on from that what have people picked in terms of jeans and wife beaters? im not really in the mood to splash out that much for the vest used in W:O

That is the ONLY thing I found as a negative to the jacket. It's a faint strip pattern in the weathering. The jacket seems to be dyed Brown with black detailing done on top of the brown through out the jacket. That dealing comes throng in a striped pattern. I feel that the jacket gets so many things right I can overlook the one thing that I don't like, for me it's not a deal breaker. I will post picks of the inside in a day or two.

And the front zippers start at the bottom just like the movie jacket.

As for the tank top, I looked for a variegated rib tank top. I got a size medium from Core Engine Tank for $20. The hems are a lot nicer then the cheep tanks for 5 for $5 at target. The tank is very nice.

Very nice. Thanks for the pics. Yeah that striping pattern is the only thing that has got me right now. How noticeable is it?

For the price, that's a rather decent offering actually....

I have a Wested Origins jacket, and I can see the hide is a touch thicker on the Wolverine Jackets one....Which is a good thing..The Wested one is fine, but a touch thinner than I'd like perhaps....

Great stuff....Good review too....I think the colouring is a touch odd, but only a touch..And it does make the jacket stand out some...So again no harm done...You could try dressing it with Pecards leather dressing which might darken the lighter spots up a touch and bring them together a little more?
But I'd be happy if I'd ordered that I reckon..

Decent work!

Thanks for the review, and welcome to the forum!

i think im sold on this jacket now, :D

and thanks for the heads up on the vests, looking for the ones used in the Orgins film i think they where like $90

@ Soldier, ******* THAT'S A NICE JACKET! AND THAT TANK! Tell me, I have the brand of tanks used in the movie and they are really thin and stretchy, are these thick like a Hanes or Fruit of the Loom wifebeater? That's a great knockoff Zimerlli, I may have to get a few.
