Thanks, Wolfman10. I cannibalized a thrift store leather vest and attached the pieces. Total price for the whole thing was like 60 bucks or so. I can post better pics.
 
You're welcome, that really looks professional. I did something similar a while back. I had a local Seamstress sew faux leather stripes on a faux leather jacket I had, but it doesn't look as impressive as yours! Do they still sell the jacket you used?
 
Yep, they should. They ought to be putting them out soon with cold weather on the way. Got mine at a half price sale. Got a larger version of the same jacket at the same thrift store for 10 bucks, and I customized that one, too, but this latest one fits better.
 
The last 2 pics are of the latest one I made, the first 2 pics are of my first effort, which was a little too large and hot to wear at cons. The latest one is lighter, fits better and won't kill me if I have to wear it during a 4th of July parade or summer event.

Why did these attachments rotate, and others I've posted come out fine? Sorry about that...

That Jacket looks great man ! im just getting all the bits sorted for my Logan attire, ive given up on trying to find the screen accurate dark red shirt he wears in origins, looks like theres two versions, one with a very faint black check that he has on in the barn before the helicopter scene, then later in the film it looks like a dark red shirt with black swirly patterns on ?

Anyway, im just trying to figure out what type of black boots he wears in the film, theres not many good shots of them, sometimes they look like stylish cowboy / italian type boots, but i thought more of a work / combat type boot would be better

This is me at a little photoshoot to promote a convention thats happening in October, it was quite short notice so my hair is too short and a big lack of face fuzz, which are all growing as i type..... lol

Wow, that car's way cool. For my boots, I figured he's a lumberjack/biker, so I found some short zip-up biker boots from the local thrift store:

Found a couple of red plaid flannel shirts there, too - one tan/red and other black/red, since they don't seem to be consistent in the movies. Frankly, most of my outfit I made from thrift store finds, except the claws and buckle. Made the claws and dog tag myself. Guess I'm too cheap to shell out a couple grand when I can do most of it myself.

Dstephenson3, what did you make your dog tag out of? I have always wanted a set of Origins dog tags with my name and info on them . I just think it would be cool.
 
Sheet aluminum and a power etching tool - it's easier to cut, shape, and etch. You just have to do it carefully under a magnifier since it's a really soft metal and can mess up really easy.

I didn't see this before. But is weaponxdogtags.com still open or are they slow. I ordered 10 days ago and haven't heard anything. I heard about them from a member of the site but that's all I know. Can anyone let me know anything?
 
Thanks man, yeah Knight Rider is my main passion, ive been building KITT for nearly 9 years now, hes getting there ! but lately ive sort of come out of my shell in the whole Wolverine thing, i thought i looked stupid as i obviously dont look like hugh jackman or have anywhere near the same physique ! but a little kid came upto me and asked to have his picture taken with Wolverine ! which made me feel a lot better about the whole thing.

Anyway im rambling a bit now, those boots look really nice mate, thats pretty much the type ive been looking at on ebay. Same with the red shirt too, i think im just going to go with a dark red plain shirt which will work.

Yeah, I've only been doing the Wolverine thing a little over a year. People have been telling me I look like Jackman for a long time, and finally just decided to go for it. Let the chops grow, and now kids stare at me and ask for pictures even when I'm "out of uniform". It's really brought me out of my comfort zone, and it's a blast when a little kid comes running up and says "Wolverweeen!"

Signed up with a group called Heroes Alliance Colorado, and we do charity events and hospital visits:

This was at a plane pull event at the airport for Special Olympics. Whoever pulls the plane farthest wins; unfortunately we didn't get to pull the plane!
