Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

I am really looking to the Heron. I love the X-1 and really love the X2. I would be using the jacket for motorcycle riding as well, so I'd need the thicker leather.

Here's a question.....would the suede strips for the X2 work for actual motorcycle use? As in, I know suede doesn't do well in rain, etc......I'm just wondering about the real world application of the X2 vs the obvious real world application of the X1.

Do biker jackets come in different levels of thickness? I guess the only way I'll know if the Heron biker version is too thick or just right is to try another biker jacket on - but I wanna make sure it's comparable.

Yes, I have heard a ton of comments on Heron's excellent customer support. That is why I was a little surprised not to get anything at all in response from them.
I find it frustrating too. I don't think Jorge checks his emails daily. I usually only get a response from him is when I email Heron to complain he isn't replying.

This might be a stupid question, but what difference does curved arms make? After all, the arms will straighten out once you wear such a jacket.

Hey though you guys might want to see the jacket in street mode, and not in character. Out shopping, the wife snapped these with her phone. I wear this jacket every day and probably will until summer. Even then, I'll probably try to wear it even then. And yeah I cut my hair, but I'm not getting it cut again until after April. I have to grow it out for the C2E2 in Chicago.

Nice man. I really like that jacket but the stripes are messing with my head. WolverineJacket.com said that the weathering effect would even out over time but I am not sure how long I could wait. ;) Still looking at all options right now.

loveing the jacket Solider, im heading to the Tandy leather store today (its a massive trek as there is only one in the UK) to pick up some xmas gift things, im hopeing to add some bits to make a XO belt in there as well, that is if the wife doesnt see lol

Good idea to post everyday usage, Soldier, as that's the real testing ground of the jacket and how it looks.

Those shots have all but much convinced me to get a biker version - which means I'm dropping out of the hunt for some time as $350 + $40 shipping + 20% import duty and it's a huge amount of money (for me).

I tried contacting wolverinejackets.com through their Contact Us page, I haven't gotten a response yet. I would like the get a custom sized jacket since it is only 25 dollars more. Also, antman84 posted that wolverinejackets.com can supply the other Wolverine jackets. So, I'm seeing if the could make the X-1 jacket. If they can't, I'll get the Origins jacket, either way it's good.

At first they replied straight away second time I was in contact they took a few days but they will be in touch. Think I'm definitely going to wait and save for a vanson

@antman84 I don't blame you. I was going to get a vanson X-1, but it would be like $635 for the size I need and shipping, and it's $175 to get it distressed. Honestly, I don't what to put that much money into one jacket right now. I have considered getting the Origins jacket from wolverinejackets.com and then getting the X-1 vanson next year, since it takes 3 months or longer to ship. By the time I ordered it and got it, it would be warmer weather where I live.

Yeah I've got the heron x-1 to keep me going until I can get the vanson it's not perfect but it will do. I'm also waiting due to prospect of new jacket soon :)

I would like to order a vanson this summer, so I would have it in the colder months. I just want a Wolverine jacket to tie me over. haha

never knew wolverinejackets made the X-1 too. That is very interesting. I wish they’d post pics though – and I wish we had feedback here about the quality and fit.

Antman84, what is lacking in your Heron X-1? I ask because that is the jacket I’m on the verge of buying (would be the new & redesigned version – not the old one that I suspect you have). Is it the fit? Is it too thin?

Wolverine Jackets cost about $350 right? With free shipping anywhere? That’s beating my preferred supplier, Heron, as they charge $40 - $50 shipping.

To be honest it's a great jacket and for the price highly recommended. I'm going to get a vanson as looking at getting a bike in the future. Will hopefully get a heron x2 thicker jacket as well. Really impressed

It's great that so many good options are now available!

My vanson is finally feeling great (got it at the end of the snow season last year so never got to really wear it). For once in my life, I'm wishing for snow instead of the high today of 63 :lol

I see comments like this a lot but it doesn't really help. It's like "it's a good drawing for an 8 year old". Similarly I hear "I bought it for Halloween and it did the job" - hardly glowing testimony. Please can you give more feedback as to what you mean by "good for the price" and why you want to upgrade to a Vanson? PM me if you'd prefer.

I want a quality jacket. I don't mean diamond studded - just a jacket that looks good and I can feel good in. Like a mid priced car or guitar. I'll never pay $600 for a jacket but what I do pay I want it to be good quality. I want a jacket that I can say is "good" - not "good for the price".

This other Wolverine boot was brought to my attention. I was off on the stitching :facepalm. Anyways, I think we have the winner, it's uncanny.

Anyone bought a pair of these yet? and how do they fit? true to size? I need to order a pair of work boots for my new job and figured why not these?

I actually bought a pair of these a few days ago, which was strange because they are not the type of boot I would normally buy but I found myself with them anyway.:) They seem true to size and are comfortable. I would not wear them for work like logging but for most things I think they would do fine. Since I have not had them long at all I can't offer my full recommendation but for the relatively inexpensive type of boot that they are they seem to be creating a favorable impression.:thumbsup
