I just finished my second viewing of the second season of Daredevil and holy crap i love the Punisher
Still all hyped up from the finale I thought hey, I've got a few days left before my courses begin again, how about a quick side project.
First I tried to find a few pictures for reference. Google was pretty much useless and i could only find one usable picture, so I went on Netflix, took a few screenshots and got to work.
First here's the jacket with and without the skull logo from the series:
I took a basic vest from my closet an traced the shape to a piece of PVC floor-covering i had left from an earlier project, which was perfect for the Kevlar-fiber parts.
The sheets i used are about 5mm thick, waterproof and bendy so I can still move while wearing the jacket.
sorry for the poor close-up shots, my camera sucks sometimes
For the fabric parts i used some rough black cotton.
I constructed all the necessary parts by calculating the rough sizes from the size in the picture and the size of my real life vest.
I cut them out and traced them onto the fabric, added about 2 cm of outline and duct-taped the fabric to the PVC parts.
I forgot to take any more pictures while doing that
I sewed them together and an removed the duct-tape.
This is the current state hopefully I'll be done i a few days.
I hope you like my work, I'll keep the updates coming
